Post subject:  Problems with the forum?
Has anyone been having problems getting on AU? This is the first time since Wednesyday I've been on here and it's getting really annoying. It's been like this since Tuesday. Sometimes it works (like now) but in the evenings (it tends to be) the page won't load and then that's it for the entire day. I can't even get onto the main site and I always get the same message *Cannot find server*. I've tried going on through google and through old PM emails as that sometimes worked when the forum crashed. But nothings worked. There are a couple of other sites that aren't working either so I'm thinking it might be my computer? :confused:

i've had that problem as well. it was terrible a few days ago, i couldn't go 2 or 3 pages with out that popping up!

Same here. A lot of times it's when I try to post something. Eventually it'll come around, though.

Actually I haven't had any problems until today, where it's just being very slow...but the weather here has been insane with wind and storms, plus I'm on wireless internet...so in my case it may be my computer, but I'll check with the other mods and Arwen to see if anyone knows what's up...and then, get back to you all if there's an answer I can find. However, if it's with the service provider, we'll all have to wait til they, the powers that be :p, fix it...but I will hope for the best that it's back to normal asap. :) Hope it keeps/starts working for everyone...crosses my fingers.

I've noticed the slowness of the forum, even when there aren't many on at the same time. I thought it was my connection... (and it still migh be it)
So far I have only had 'problems' when I log in. For some reason I recently had to do the log on process twice before I was logged in.

I've only had problems when a lot of people are on at once. And like Ea, I've had a couple of logging in problems, and it'll list me as online but it won't let me post.

Well for the past few days it's been fine so it may well have been a temporary problem.

I think its either to do with the numbers of people who are on the site or just online in general (apparently this can slow down the server you're connected to the internet through and maybe combined with a slightly slow website it all adds up?) - or individual computer problems... but I'm not an expert in these matters, sorry. :(

I personally haven't had any problems (well, except to do with 'swapping accounts' if I'm going from my own to the mod and so on... :blink:) but that might just be because of the time zone I'm in... I don't know. Will have to ask Arwen, I guesses...
