The Torchwood-ness is amazing... and the standard of all the graphics is breath-taking. Please keep it up, peoples.  I'm having fun just watching.

Aw, too bad you aren't doing it again Celebwen! I loved looking at your stuff.
My internet was out for two days. Fun stuff. So I don't have the time right now to update (sadly not too much) or comment, I shall have to do that tomorrow.
I've a question for all you people like me, who have no chance of making a ton of stuff but are still in it. Do you just go for fun and experience, or do you set goals for yourself? Not just goals in the number you make either, but goal about the graphics themselves.

Me, I just click through screencaps until I find some that I like, and see where it leads. Sometimes there's a lot, sometimes not. Oh, alright, yeah, there's usually a lot, but no, I don't set goals. I open up Photoshop and see where it leads. _________________

hey nurr... bummer about the internet. I've always loved your stuff!! But as to your question....
I've set a number goal (schedule'd it all out for the week so I can juggle this and work), but have set sort of "style" challenges too.
-I'm using a completely different banner size then I'm used to (I usually run with 700's, not 500's).
-I'm limiting myself to two (or three if it's huge) pictures in each graphic, because I know I have a tendency to cram stuff on that shouldn't be.
Stay simple.
-Also, I know I am atrocious at text work, so I'm challenging myself to use new fonts, new placement, all that stuff.
-And also, I'm challenging myself to cover a wide veriety of my interests, but still going in-depth for each (ex, I make sure to make avvies [and banners] for LotR, HP, Twilight, Star Trek, Disney, and animals... not just one or a couple).
That's probably way more than you wanted to know, but there it is.
and @everyone else, I'll get to overall comments on the contest later

Aw, thanks. I'm just so busy at the moment- I'm back at school and there is sooo much work! But maybe I'll judge. Give me an excuse to drool over your Dan avvies, and all that Harkness art. 
Smeag, I'm sure whatever you come up with will be just perfect. I don't think recall ever seeing one of your graphics that I didn't like.
