I love this scene because it is a nice little break from the intense battles of the movie such as the Mines of Moria and the Battle in which Boromir dies...it is a chance to get to know the characters a little bit more and see them interact with the elves as well as get gifts... There is also many good quotes in this scene that I love... the light of Earendil is given, and Merry and Pippins' Lembas bread incident, as well as Gimli only wanting three strands of Galadriel's hair... it is a comic relief as well as a nice building of the characters and I just enjoyed it very much =)

And the story behind this one? I know it's an odd scene to have for a favorite, but this is actually as close to meeting the party of Gildor from the FotR book that we got. It's a more bittersweet scene, sure, but I still oddly regard it as one of my favorites.

TT and Aranel... thank you so much... enjoy watching from the bushes... it's the best spot!!! I'm glad I get to do a LotR battle... brings back lots of memories
Raven... eee so lovely... that was such a sad scene I thought... bittersweet to know the elves were leaving to never return to middle-earth
-------
Now this one was harder to choose for me... it was between this or the scene with Gimli and Legolas during the tally, but this won out... you got a little insight into Aragorn's past and him being one of my fav characters with such a complex being it was nice to see it in the film, and the moment between him and Eowyn was lovely... plus him eating the soup was adorable!!!

Ok..I know I should have posted my next volley by now, but I really have a good excuse. I've been in the hospital the past two and a half days, and I just got home. SO, I'm going to need time to recuperate before I catch up. So sorry.

Thanks for understanding. Acute appendicitis = VERY painful and uncomfortable two days. With that said, I'll get the next volley done asap. Maybe it'll help distract me.

Once again, I go for the semi-depressing. This scene literally gave me the chills the first time I watched the movie. It's once again bittersweet, knowing the outcome..but the elves aren't leaving Middle-Earth to its fate without helping one last time. Do you sense a pattern developing?

Raven that entry is wonderful, I love that scene very muchly!!
Round 3-Fav RotK Scene
-This scene makes me cry everytime I watch it.. It is one of the last meetings of the fellowship all together and it the looks in each of their eyes show how much they went through together... they really were a fellowship and it breaks my heart not seeing Boromir amoung them... but he is there in spirit... I just love how after the end, they can all come together knowing nothing will ever be the same again, but that fellowship of their friendships is the meaning of the movies ^^
