This idea was started when I noticed that Enno always claims Phantom/Christine banners from me, and I'm currently obsessed with them at them moment, so I thought a battle would be a grand idea! :yes: We're both very addicted at the moment, so you'll probably get a lot of commentary on why the scene of the round is so spectacular. :-P We chose our favorite Phantom/Christine scenes, and we'll be doing them in order of favorite to least favorite (although it being least favorite doesn't mean we don't like it) :-P. We can do either blends or banners.

Round 2: “Christine I Love You.” (The last Christine/Phantom scene)
Round 3: Point of No Return [/s]
[s]Round 4:The Kiss
Round 5: The Red Death (the scene right after Masquerade, when the Phantom's all scary and in the red cape)[/s]
Round 6: Phantom of the Opera
Round 7: The Mirror - Angel of Music

Okies. So here's my first one.
Music of the Night ~ This scene is just absolutely amazing. The most gorgeous scene of all time<3 Can never watch it or listen to the song too many times, it's utterly brilliant. Christine is so enchanted by the Phantom [and I mean, who wouldn't be with that song ;) ] and you can see they belong together.

Now.I don't think I've done the scene justice with this banner, because I was experimenting quite a lot. :confuzzled:
But I think it works, kinda :P

^ :swoon: That is one of the best banners I've ever seen you make, Enno! I love how soft it is, and the glow is incredible.

The Music of the Night-This scene is honestly one of the hottest, yet most innocent scenes ever. The way the Phantom gently seduces her is so stunning, and I have never seen Emmy look more beautiful. I love the imagery of the background, and the chemistry between them is beyond anything I've ever seen. I could talk for hours about this scene. *sighs happily*

I do like it, I still don't think I've done the scene justice though :teehee:

& that is wonderful :swoon: Excellent picture choice and fonts :D & the fonts are all shiny!<3 I like shiny/sparklyness :teehee:

Will have my next one up sometime later today hopefully :D

well, I always cry at this scene :'( Because the Phantom is so distraught, and so is Christine. She was going to go with him but he let her leave<3 It's so obvious she wants to stay with him at the very end, she didn't have to go see him and give him the ring, but she did and you can see in her face she's so torn about her decision. :( And, she looks back in the boat! She knows she should have stayed with him, but she's listening to her heart instead of her head :disgust: :(

now I'm happy with this apart from the text. But I played with it a lot and this is the best I could get it too work.
but other than that I'm happy xD ;

Aww, I'm glad you like it! That new style you're working with is gorgeous! I love how soft it is, and the desaturated color really speaks volumes about the scene. :)

This scene is.....wow. I have never seen a scene that makes me choke up every time I see it before this one. The Phantom's already had his heart broken by Christine, but he knows that what he did was the right thing and he had to let her go. Then...she comes back. The way his heart shows through his eyes just makes me want to sob for him. When she walks away, I always want to start crying with the Phantom because he loves her so much, and he thought she had come back for him! What really convinces me that she loves him is when she looks back. She's safe with Raoul and they're singing their dopey song...and yet she still looks back at her Phantom. :'(

I think I managed to make his face look worse, but besides that, I'm pretty happy with this. The text says, "Just when I put my guard away (it's the same old story), you left me broken and betrayed." I took it from this incredible song by 12 Stones: Lie to Me (Acoustic)

Thankies :D My experiments with different styles tend to go wrong :eyeroll: but I think this one has worked out :happy:

& that is perfect :D The way you've blended the different images in, it's seamless :swoon: & that song is amazing :D love the lyrics you choose, fit very well :)

I have my next one, but I'm not that sure about it as it was a bit rushed so I'm trying to do a new one, will have it up by the end of today xD

I could go on about this scene for ages, but I'm tired and really shouldn't be online so I shall tomorrow :teehee:
& everything I do, is very similar to my first one, and I happiest with that one so;

editness~ this scene is just :swoon: amazing. Despite everything she's telling herself and worrying about, she's still drawn to the Phantom, he still manages to seduce her. Then he had to go and sing all I ask of you and that just ruined it *sighs* I stand by if he hadn't sung that to her, then she would have forgotten all about Raoul. :frust: Perhaps not, but I say she would have anyways :innocent:

You're welcome! :-D I LOVE your recent entry! Those pictures....:swoon: I can't stop staring at the font, either. I love what you did with it!

The Point Of No Return: This scene is one of the most sensual, steamy scene in the movie, much less in the entire world. This is one scene that's pretty awkward to watch with your parents since everything is just so....guh!! :drool: I love how she's so scared and worried before the song, but when she's with him, everything just goes away and all she cares about is her Phantom. The look on her face when he grabs her neck always just turns me to mush and I start squeeing my head off. Of course, the crowning moment of the scene is seeing Raoul's pitiful expression as he watches the insane chemistry between his enemy and his fiance. I can't help but laugh. :-P (My apologies, Nurr. I know you love Raoul. :) )

This has to be my favorite line from the song. I love how their voices blend, and it signifies how they are truly giving in to each other. *melts*

And as a random bonus, here's a little manipy I made a few days ago. It's not that great, but I just wanted to make something.

I was sitting there when I first saw it trying to figure out what scene it was from :eyeroll: I didn't read that is was a manip :duh:
But yeah. I love it :D

okies, so I messed up because this wouldn't load at first, and even though The Kiss definitely comes before the Red Death, I ended up doing a graphic for the RD :duh:
I'm really not with it, so rather than rushing to get one for the Kiss because I really want to take time with that scene, and since this one took me a while I figured I'd just put it up xD

This scene = Brilliant, the Phantom is utterly gorgeous in his red suit/cape :drool: and the way they're drawn to each other is just such a sign of how they belong together. It's just so sweet :happy: that they're drawn together.

Aww, thanks! :hug: haha I guess it shows that the manipy was pretty realistic! :-P
Oh, don't worry about it! AU's been loading really slowly lately, and I've been getting so ticked off at it. *kicks computer* I always have to check and see what scene comes next, and it's not a big deal at all. :-D Your banner is brilliant! I love how the red fades in around the Phantom. :drool:

The Kiss- I have conflicting feelings about this scene. I adore how the Phantom reacts to her, and how she kisses him again even though she only has to give him a tiny peck on the lips, but what always nags me is that she mouths "I love you" to Raoul before she kisses the Phantom. I can never really ignore that, even though she totally gets into kissing the Phantom. Even so, it's a gorgeous scene, with both of them crying, and it shows how much Christine cares for the Phantom.

& I know :blink: It takes me at least three tries each time to post something recently & even then I have to double click which usual makes me double post :disgust:
& Thank you :D I have to ask, is the red smooth for you? Because on my screen it looks very blocky, and the different reds don't merge at all :blink: But when I made it, it was fine, so don't know if my screens just being weird :P


that banner is amazing :swoon: and I love how you've got the small one of them in the middle! :blink: :swoon: You've blended it in perfectly and it looks totally natural. :happy:

This scene; Although this scene is amazing, and it's like a "finally!" moment for me :P I have to agree that her mouthing 'I love you' to Raoul does annoy me. >_<
But there's such emotion in the scene, and you can tell she's still trying to deny her feelings for him, but then she can't and she finally lets go, gives in. And then he lets her go, and she goes back to listening to what her headis saying and rushes off to Raoul *sigh* :(
Anyways. Love the scene. Ignore the bit before, and just after and just freeze from here to here. :yes: I *think* Sometimes it's hard to tell with the screencaps :duh:

I love the pictures you used! Normally I always make his face look all red whenever I try to use those, but you made it work perfectly! The quote is brilliant, too. :yes:

Nurr, I only noticed Christine mouthing that after I had read about it on another forum. :) Thank you! And just remember, we haven't read the book, and are basing our obsession on the glorious movie version. ;) 'Tis all based on opinion as well. :-D

The Red Death- I've recently completely fallen in love with this scene. I love how at first she's scared, and he's angry, but then everything....softens. She has a faint smile on her face, and you can see the love shining through him. They're just drawn together in a completely gorgeous way. :swoon: In my banner, I chose different pictures and gave it a darker feel because I've overused the pictures of when they're drawn together. ;)

Nice to see you, AF! I'm sure Nurr will be glad to know she has an ally amidst all these Phantiners. :-P I'm glad you like everything! It's kind of hard not to make an emotional Phantom of the Opera graphic, if you know what I mean. That movie is so dramatic and emotion filled. :)

Oh yeah, I know you're basing it all off the movie. My comment was how different our points of view were on the same things. And I'm quite morbidly fascinated by this battle. xD

Though, I'm not a huge fan of Christine. Book or movie. So I'd rather she not go with Raoul because I like Raoul, but he loves her so to be happy he'd need her. It makes it very problematic. It's like, go with the Phantom! Wait, no! I'm the same way with Elizabeth in PotC.
