The past few years we've had a "Graphic Maker's Cookoff" during the summer. What is the GMC? It's a time where graphic makers of all kinds gather together for a hectic week or so and make a flurry of banners, blends, icons, etc. while challenging themselves and then collapsing in exhaustion at the end.  You can read about last year's planning HERE. My questions--- 1. Are you interested? 2. When would be the best time to do it? 3. Themes? Ideas? Questions, comments, concerns, hopes, dreams, aspirations? _________________ going on a journey through my old claims

This sounds like a great idea! I'll be on vacation in mid-July and the end of August (I don't have the exact dates memorized, so I'll have to get back to you on that). Since my laptop doesn't have PSP, I would either have to download GIMP or sit out and judge if you decided to hold it those weeks.
I'll have to think about ideas for themes, but as challenges go, I think it would be nice to focus on some specific aspect of graphic making (e.g. blending, textures) so we can try to improve in those areas.

Ahhhh, I want to participate!  I have whole summer free so any time will be suitable. I remember that in last one I disappeared before I judged someone - now it won't happen ^^ As for the theme...last time was LotR, right? Maybe our favourite fandoms? But if it was LotR, I wouldn't mind  _________________

Ooh, I haven't been poking around in this part of the forum lately, so I missed this. Anyway, I've always loved the GMC, and I was wondering if it was going to happen this year. I'd be willing to help set it up if this was still in the cards.

As up until yesterday there were only three people interested, I wasn't planning on setting it all up. But, since there seem to be a few more...?
