Uhm, I got a few questions.

1. How do I screencap with Windows Media Player? Can I...?
2. Do I need an animating program to make those movie icons?
3. How do I take clips from full-length movies?

Can someone answer, please?

I can only answer a couple of those questions.
This is how you can animate in Windows Media Player, taken from Sapphire:


And you do need an animating program to make the movie icons. If you have image ready (a program that comes with photoshop) you can use this tutorial:

Also, it works with Animation Shop... and there is a free proggie called Windows Animator (I think o__0) but I´ve no clue where to get it, sadly.

Where do you get animation shop from? Can someone send it to me or something, I can't find it -_-''

You can't screencap with media player, you can download a free trial cyberlink power DVD if you google it (then set your clock back and the trial won't run out - you do that by double clicking your clock).

For ripping dvds I use DVD ripper wizard, because it rips protected dvds, you can download it if you google it and though it's a free trial it has no time limit
