I'm still rather new to graphics, and don't know how to do that many effects, so if any of you want to share your favourite, coloring, texture, brushes...whatever to make nice effects, please share! Thanks! |

Hmmm, well, let's see here... ![]() -I like to copy the layer (or entire blend), put it as a new layer on top and set to "Screen" and desaturate a little (or a lot). Then duplicate this layer and set it to "Soft Light". Play around with the opacity and saturation of both layers ![]() -Use lots of textures ![]() -Use sparkly brushes in white and set to overlay. -Curves and Selective Color layers are THE BEST for adding color! ![]() ![]() Some of my favorite sites for brushes and textures are: The Magic Box, Hybrid Genesis, Gender, Ewanism, 77 Words, and Maquina Also, if you see a particular effect you like, just ask the artist ![]() |

On a lot of my graphics I add softlight* layers, then add lots of saturation. It works well on programs that don't have selective coloring but desire a similiar effect. * Using light colors works best! For example, on this banner here ![]() I used several softlight layers, as well as levels & saturation. Effects such as the border and black & white circle are something I use often too. For the circle I use the Selection tool and simpy create the circle then desturate my selection. For the border I fill a layer with black and cut out with the selection tool. ![]() Also, you can copy merged (or copy a single image) & paste it as a new layer setting to lighten. ![]() I hope I made sense! And if I think of more stuff, I'll post it for you! ![]() |
