I think everyone's noticed that Arwen's posted a tutorial on how she did the new layout manipulation thing.. THANKYOU Arwen; it's really going to help
link to it:: http://arwen-undomiel.com/misc/tutorial_manip.html
I just have question for uhmm well anyone who can answer it.. does Photoshop have the "Hot Wax Coating" effect? If it does, I can't seem to find it...

Well, I do have Photoshop...I just haven't had time to play around much with it yet...but briefly, it seems like the closest I could get to the hot wax coating was the Accented Edges effect under Brush Strokes, just with the brightness set to 2 and the smoothness set to 12. It doesn't have the exact-exact effect of the hot wax coating (not as shiny ) but it's pretty close. The Poster Edges effect, depending on the settings, could work vaguely well, too!

Hehe. Well...it's not as gorgeous as Arwen's stuff of course...but here is my Ed/Eragon manip.
I'm too lazy to get the picsw I used...but one was a screencap i took of the mountains in the background, one was a pic of Ed (the face and hair) becuz he looked so perfect and ish and I loved it (not very Eragonish...but it still looks okay), and the third pic I used was just a random one of Eragon that I took the body from...so yeah.
Thanks again for this tutorial Arwen! It rocks!

Thanks! Honestly, I had no idea the layout was a manip at first *smacks forehead* I guess I should have figured out by how unebelievably gorgeous it looked. I was like... 'wow...when was the scene with Arwen in the snow?' haha. i am a bit slow sometimes.
