Right, it's my birthday soon and I was wondering whether anyone on AU would recomend PS 9, so that I could get it for my birthday.

So, do you have it? If so, what do you think of it?
And is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... e&n=300435 what I would want to buy?

If you could give me some pointers, that would be great.
Thankies!

I have PSP9 and it's a great program :) :) I use Photoshop now, but PSP is still really good - Arwen the Webmaster uses it ;) I don't really know the exchange rate between USD and pounds, but that looks like a GREAT price too! :) :D I'd say go ahead and get it! :) :) And happy birthday! :sorcerer:

Arwen has version 7 i think ;]

I used to use it too, it´s a good thing ^^ There´s a tutorial on it at A-U and lots of tips too.. It takes a while to get used to it, but once you´ve figured the basics it´s pretty easy. I once wrote a simple tut on it, I believe...

^I believe she (Elfe) uses Photoshop.
Anywayz... I use PSPX (the same as PSP 9 i think)
and i like it alot. It is a little confusing to learn, but with the help of alot of people on here i've learned how to use it. I recomend it :)

Well I think PSP7 is great so anything higher can only be better! £30 seems a bit expensive (to me anyway) for any graphics programme but if it's something you really want then go for it! You could look on ebay as they are probably much cheaper there but still brand new. :-)

Yup, I use PSP 7...it's a great program, imo. Probably not as extensive as PhotoShop, but it's loads cheaper and possibly easier to figure out (I can't be sure, though, because my experience with PhotoShop has been very limited).

Well I am in good company then. ;) I've been using it for 10 months and I've only just started getting decent results. But don't let that put you off EU, I'm just a slow learner. :-)

Wow, thank everyone for your views.

Luthien: I do believe that PSP 9 and PSP X are very similar.

JF: Well, I think that if I do get on with it then £30 is a small price to pay. :P I love the whole graphics thing so I think I'll go for it.

Arwen: Yea, I've heard it's hard to get in to but good when you know how to use it. I'm sure a bt of perseverance will get me going.

So, I've jst ordered it. Thanks for your advice. :)
