That's probably a good thing. The BBC series had them..hmmm.. ..kinda..weird..CGI to me anyway is probably the only way they could do it.

looking at the pictures, i'm hoping they make Aslan big enough. in the books, he's taller than a horse - as tall as an elephant!

I'm sure they won't ignore such an important thing as that. I presume he will be CGI as well? Does it matter that the Magician's Nephew has not been made first? People I talk to have wondered about that but I have a very simple answer as to why they haven't made it. I think (bearing in mind Narnia is not created until well into the book) the history of Narnia and how Digory and Polly came to be here can easily be told by one of the characters - rather than make a whole film about it. We may even see a flashback of when Narnia was created.

yes, Aslan will be CGI. well, they're not making the movies in Chronilogical order. LWW was written first, and if they stopped with this film, it would be ok...in other words - it has an ending. Magician's Nephew does, too i suppose, but LWW is also just more famous. that's an interesting idea, though. but i'm thinking they could make a whole movie of it, and it would be fantastic! it's such a great story.

Cool pictures sis.
Yeah I agree with Gwenneth I think the are doing a CGI character for Aslan. Because it would be kind of dangerous for the kids to be around a real lion. Plus Aslan isn't like any lion we have ever seen.
And maybe they'll do the movies in the order they were published which would be understanble cause the kids are only kids for so long. Next if they did it that way would be Prince Caspian I believe or the Horse and his Boy I am not sure.

Well again The Horse and His Boy is really just another story about two other kids set in the time when Narnia was ruled by Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. Apart from some king finding his long lost son etc I don't see any reason for them to make a film about it. I think whatever happens could merely be told in passing by a character from another film. The Magician's Nephew told how Narnie began. It was a good book but after LWW it would seem a bit slow. HAHB was Ok it was not my favourite maybe because it was mostly about people besides the Penvises and CO. But that might just be me.

yeah, and plus they have to make the lion talk. in the BBC movies they had a puppet that randomly moved it's mouth.
and yeah, Narnia Web says that they'll do Prince Caspian next if any of the Chronicles...i so hope LWW makes enough money so they can continue!!! HAHB is one of my favorite books and i really hope they get to that! i think it's so cool how you see Edmund, Susan and Lucy all grown up in Narnia. and the tender scene with Shasta and Aslan melts my heart every time i read it.

That would be good. The BBC episode was bit cruddy although I did like Trumpkin. I thought he was played well. I am really waiting to see how Trufflehunter (great name!) turns out.

I think your right sis. It would be fairly easier for them if they did that. LOTR did it so they may. Since they are using some of it's teqnuiches.
