Arya, huzzah for fall! :P that’s what I like about it too! That and the air smells good. It’s the smell of death. :P (rotting/dying leaves and all, you know ;)) haha, unless you get short-sleeved hoodies! :-D my mom bought me one just the other day! So now I can wear a hoodie any time I want!

what about flats though? ballet-flats or whatever you guys know them as. :P Personally I love them even if I don't like to wear them all the time. :P (and it seems like everyone has them!) but for long shopping days or when we go away for the whole day I don't feel comfortable just wearing them... (not sure why... :P) but for just quick "whatever" they're awesome! :-D

I love ballet flats. They're so comfortable. I have a pair of black ones, and they're practically falling apart and I haven't even had them for a year yet.

I like flats a lot... or sandals.
But I most prefer to go around barefoot.

Teh Paddie ish here! :p

Shoes, eh? Sandals are my cup o' tea, but they have to be really comfortable for me to wear them...however anytime I can go barefoot, I will... :)

I actually read the other day that it's more healthy to go barefoot - better for your foot, knees, ankles... shoes cause us to think differently cuz we have more padding there, so naturally we go about on our feet harder than we would if we were barefoot, thus adding more stress...
I can't remember all of it, but it was interesting.

Ooo! I like that theory...it'll give me an excuse when someone bugs me about putting on shoes... *evil laughter* :vampire:

Oh! I read that too! Awhile ago...I just remember thinking "Yes! Hobbit!"

As well, BBC had an article about flip-flops and how walking long distances or extended wear in them is bad for your feet. However, ever since that article came out, I've seen a lot more flip-flops with arch support....:teehee:

Yeah... I go around barefoot most of the time anyway, until my mom tells me to put on shoes, or unless I'm at camp where we HAVE to wear shoes in the bigger buildings (basically any building 'cept the dorms) and in the gym and field... basically all the time.

Wow, I didn't know they made flip flops with arch support...wish I could find some of those... :)

Yeah, I wore flip flops for quite a long time one summer and I got major shin splints from it, thus making me have to drop out of TKD for a while...even now I've got to be more careful of my shins... :erm:

Wow I haven't been on here in a while.
I like being barefoot but here in Texas you don't have the nice ground to walk on. Every time you walkin the grass (or on the pavement for that matter) you get an old sticker burr or a fresh cockaburr stuck in your foot. They hurt so you get a taste to not walk around barefoot.

When I didn't live in Texas I used to walk around barefoot all the time, and even when I was in track they told us to run around the track ever so often barefoot so you can build your foot muscles or something like that....

*hugs Annabel Lee*

Aww, you have my sympathies, darlin'. I couldn't imagine not being able to walk around barefoot...

I usually can go barefoot all year 'round. In summer it gets REALLY hot, especially on our porch, which is black marble. I got slightly burned once. >_<

I've done that before too. I was walking barefoot on the road and I burnt my little footsies real bad.

I live in Texas too but I LOVE walking barefoot. The only drawbacks are that it's hot (even the grass burns here! :P ) and, occasionally, fire ants. But I just love walking around barefoot. I do it all the time in my house.
