Hitler and his family? Well, I know he shot his dog because he loved his dog. I know his new wife...what's her name, I keep forgetting. It's Eva something. She took a cyanide pill, he took one and then shot himself in the head.

Yeah, but also there six children I believe and his partner in "crime" I forgot his name...

If Hitler hadn't done the whole "Holocaust deal", he would have been a hero.

Quote:
Hitler committed suicide in the Führerbunker on April 30, 1945 by means of a self-delivered shot to the head (it is likely he simultaneously bit into a cyanide ampoule). Hitler's body and that of Eva Braun (his long-term mistress whom he had married the day before) were put in a bomb crater, partially burned with petrol by Führerbunker aides and hastily buried in the Chancellory garden as Russian shells poured down and Red Army infantry continued to advance only two or three hundred metres away.

When Russian forces reached the Chancellory they found his body and an autopsy was performed using dental records (and German dental assistants who were familiar with them) to confirm the identification. To avoid any possibility of creating a potential shrine the remains of Hitler and Braun were repeatedly moved, then secretly buried by SMERSH at their new headquarters in Magdeburg. In April 1970, when the facility was about to be turned over to the East German government, the remains were reportedly exhumed, thoroughly cremated, and the ashes finally dumped unceremoniously into the Elbe.

And I think it was his business partner Goebbels, who poisoned his six children in the bunker.

However... I can't tell how important I think such movies are, especially for us Germans, because it's very important how cruel Hitler was and that we should NEVER do such a mistake again

^Hitler had children?
I knew he had a mistress or wife of some sorts and that they indeed killed themselves, but I haven't heard anything about his children...

It's either his partners six children, or his. Can't quite remember. But it seems like they were his partners. :)

I also have never heard of Hitler having children. I think they were Goebbels children...

I can't see Hitler with children, he just didn't have the time in his schedule because he was too busy taking over the world.

TIME magazine named Hitler Man the Century for a reason. He totally turned Germany around, if only someone would have stopped him in trying to start World War I, I don't think the Holocaust would've had the chance to develop.

Yeah. And if you think about it, if Hitler had had children; he probably would have realized a bit how those parents losing their children would have felt and not been as brutal.

Eh....doubtful. He saw Jews as an inferior race and thought he shouldn't be merciful or sympathetic to them. He probably saw their children even more inferior.

Ehm, that's true. But maybe there would have been even the slightest bit if he had had his own children.

There was a chance. Or maybe his mistress would've made an impact.

Yes that's true. I have seen der Untergang twice, but the last time I saw it already is a quite a long time ago.
