I love Evanescence. I looked up the meaning in the dictonary, and it said: "To dissapear slowly, to fade away into nothing".

Amy Lee (the lead singer) was going to do all the lead vocals for Narnia, but while she was writing the music, they fired her, because it was "to dark". I wish she could have done it.

^ Yeah, me too. Obviously the Narnia producers didn't know what they were getting into when they hired her, though - I mean, come on! All you have to do is take a look at the lyrics to the majority of Ev songs to find out that most are rather dark.

Let's hope Ev doesn't live up to the meaning of its name and never produce another album

Yeah, that would be bad. They are my favorite-in fact, I've listened to them so much, she even knows which songs ar Ev songs as soon as she hears the first bit, like the piano intro to Bring Me to Life.

But what can I say? At least I'm not driving my family insane by listening to country music all the time. Only my grandparents and I like it. I still love country music, though.

My mom really dislikes Evanescence, and my dad isn't crazy about them. They both think Ev is too dark and noisy and whiny The nerve!

Oh, yes.

My dad likes them-he says they have a good beat-the only song he dosen't like is "Tourniquet". Not because he's religious or anytihng-he's an atheist, very muchly.

My mom dosen't care, and neither does my dad's girlfriend, or my mom's boyfriend. I'm careful not to listen to it around my grandparents-one grandma hates music like that, the other two also don't like that music because they say it's Satanic. :-S

My sister likes them fortunately, but she likes a lot of their older stuff more and thinks some of the songs on "Fallen" are too formulaic. I sorta agree, although I still like the "Fallen" songs

And apparently, my dad agrees. In fact, I was sitting in the car and it came on the radio and he started to sing along. Which freaked me out.

Sure, you can join! *updates member list* Which version of Breathe No More do you have? I personally like the Fallen Outtakes one the best, but there was the one she sang live on the Anywhere But Home CD, the older version with a dance beat, and I think the one on the Elektra soundtrack.

So I have all the Origin songs, the original "Immortal" (sounds very different), "Lies Remix", "I Must Be Dreaming", "October", "Ascension of the Spirit", "Surrender", and many more...
