Phoenix wrote: He was with both in Ultimates. Which is cool, for that universe. Not for the movie..Rogue should be alone or with Gambit.
Colossus and Angel should have had way more time. Geesh, Colossus only spoke like one line and Angel just wasn't developed enough as a character and was a bit too..and I hate to use this term but, Emo. Angel was a spoilt rich kid playboy.
*sigh* I need to stop getting so nit picky. It makes me sound like a don't like the movies and I love them all so much.
Colossus said something???? i don't remember that.
Ok that is sad.

That's a shame that Cable never cures that--it'd be awesome if he managed it. Same with Scott and his mental block. Cable and Cyclops at their full potential. That'd be awesome. I wonder if Scott would be counted as an Omega-level mutant?
LOL he does all the time. So very funny.
I know Emma Frost is trying to help push Scott into being more than he was. I say good luck with that Emma lol I don't think he'd be classed as an Omega no. I think Omega's have to be able to survive in another form like the Astral Plane for example.
SM: When Iceman is looking for Rogue he asks Colossus if he's seen her, he replies with something like "She's gone" I can barely remember what it was. Ack..my poor Petey

Hmm...that's a good point, Phoenix. Maybe I should start writing X-men comics for Marvel and have Cyclops become an Omega-level mutant. And find some way to permanently remove the annoyance that is named Emma Frost.
Lol--wouldn't it be more like Piotr-y, instead of Petey? 8)
But I agree with the thought. Poor Colossus.

He very rarely gets called Piotr in the comics. Most people call him Pete or Petey.
Aw you don't like Emma? I love Emma she's such a...a word I can't say on here I wasn't overly keen on Scott/Emma as a couple, but she has proven that she does genuinely love him. I just miss the old days of Slim and Redd

That stinks. Piotr sounds cooler than Peter. Or Petey.
No, I don't care much for Emma--I'm a big Scott&Jean fan. Emma messed all that up, so I don't like here very much. Whether or not she genuinely loves Scott.

I think one of the few people that did call him Piotr was his sister Illyana and (I think) his brother Mikhail.
I've always liked Emma since before she became one of the good guys. I just love her all round cattyness and general outspokeness. The whole Emma/Scott/Jean triangle was complicated. As far as I remember, nothing happened between Emma and Scott till after Jean had died...again. Jean always had her thing for Wolverine, maybe that's why I cut Scott and Emma some slack.

I think she's a little too catty. And even if Jean did have her thing for Logan, I've still always put Jean and Scott together in my mind, and Emma just disrupts the picture.
She'd be okay, I guess, if she just kept away from Scott, but since she doesn't, she gets on my nerves.

I think it's a good dynamic. Some of the barbs thrown at Emma by Kitty and vice versa are just brilliant. Joss Whedon is the best, his work on Astonishing X-Men is genius.
I've always preferred Jean and Scott, but with Jean becoming more and more Phoenix like. They drifted apart, it's sad but Scott has to move on if his wife is on a constant death and rebirth cycle that won't ever end. I think Jean and Scott still love each other, but they know deep down being apart is best.

In the movie? I don't know about Scott, you never seen a body. So there's no proof. Phoenix won't stay dead, I mean she technically died at the end of X2, but she came back.
In comic world, Phoenix is dead but won't stay dead forever. She can't die, the Phoenix Force is too strong. Now I'm thinking of it, I'm pretty sure Cyclops died and was brought back in the comics at least one time.
It's very rare that someone stays dead on the comicverse.

I really hope they bring Scott back for a/the fourth movie. I think it's pretty much undeniable that Jean is going to stay dead, but Scott doesn't have the Phoenix force. I hope he gets revived--he's still my favorite character.

I think he might be in the 4th one, or he got molecularized by Jean. Dissipated. Whatever.

It's such a shame that James Marsden was off filming Superman Returns, which cut his screen time down by a significant margin. If he wasn't in that I'm convinced there would have been a lot more of Cyclops. I'm also still convinced he's not dead, granted there would be no body to view if Dark Phoenix did indeed off him. It could all just be my wishful thinking though.
I don't reckon Pyro is dead either, I'm pretty sure he got off Alcatraz in time. Same with Callisto, pretty sure she's still alive. Arclight and Psylocke seem pretty much dead though.
I don't see them bringing back Jean right away. I also don't want Magneto in the next one (if there's a next one). As much as I love the character and how Ian portrayed him. It will get boring having him constantly the antagonist.
If there's another movie I call for Apocalypse, Sinister and the Four Horseman.
