I'm into Japanese music and anime, and the language as well though I haven't learned much yet - what I know is from fanfiction and subbed anime and movies.

...I'm interested in Japan and such. If I can find the time, I want to learn Japanese. It's an awesome language.

I have to confess, though, I don't really care for most manga/anime. Just BLEACH. :D That one is cool. That's actually where I've picked up like all of my Japanese so far. :P

And of course, who doesn't love nodachi, katanas, and naginatas? Japan's awesome for having those weapons. :D

yeah, sure count me in.
I love a lot of Japanese music, Anime, Movies. I'm pretty rubbish at learning any foreign language, so I reckon my chances of becoming even slightly fluent in Japanese is laughable lol

Oh and YES! I love katanas *strokes my precious*

There's a katana ban coming into the UK, well Scotland so I need to buy this before the ban comes into place.

Ooh ooh can i join? *waves hand frantically in air* lol :P
I love Japan! I think it started with my love for anime, and then, kind of...expanded. I would love to learn Japanese--right now i'm learning French, tho, so i'm not sure if that would work. I might try anyway, tho. XD I started learning a bit from online tutorials, but i didn't get far. Anyway, I can say Nihon ga suki desu! *hopes she said what she meant to say, which is "I love Japan!"* If not... :duh: oh well.

My amateurish 'skills' would presume it's "nee-hon ga soo-kee de-soo"
But probably said really fast lol

Of course I could be completely wrong :explode:

Actually, I think that'd be Hm..I know 'Watashi' fits in there somewhere. Because it means 'I'

the particles can be extremely conufusing I think. wa, ga, (w)o, no...:p

Lol.
Nihon ga suki desu would be pronounced as "Nee-Haan Gaa Suu Kee Dess" in Desu the 'su' is silent. so its like Dess.

Ah yeah so it is :duh:
I remember having this convo with one of my friends about it, I just love saying DESU! Even though, like you say that's not how it's pronounced.
Blame Miyavi DESU!

Yeah, i think the full version would be Watashi wa Nihon ga suki desu, but i think i read that you can leave out "watashi wa" if you want. Also, as i remember, "suki" is pronounced "skee". I could be wrong, tho. Lol that's funny, Pheonix san. :-D

Okay, maybe I'm remembering wrong then.
Anyway, what should we talk about? (Got to keep this club alive and well, lol.) Since anime and manga seem to be some of Japan's primary art forms, maybe we could say what are favorite stories in that genre are. Some of mine are Miyazaki's films, especially Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Just a topic suggestion.
