It's funny when our cats roll around and stretch, especially after they've been asleep, and then they fall off whatever surface they're on, like a chair, or my headboard, the couch, etc.

Oh wow... our cats used to sit in between the window and the screen when the window was up.

That's what my cats do too. Last year Liona figured out how to push out the screen, but now I think she's forgotten how to do that.

Okay. Rather funny story here.

So, our basement has a hole in the wall, so the fat kitty crawls in there and ends up between the walls. And we have chipmunks living in the walls. Anyway, the kitty found the chipmunk nest, and we could hear all these screaming chipmunks, and we could see them running outside. xD Sad for the chipmunks, but it was rather hilarious.

I've been having some allergic reactions lately (mainly an intensely epic-ly itchy rashy face) so the doctor told me my immune system is down so I'm probably having an allergic reaction to the pets. :( He told me to try not to touch pets for a couple weeks. Which is... hmm... IMPOSSIBLE. I was on my knees on the floor doing something just a minute ago and Peanut decides to fall asleep on my leg. How can you NOT reward that? :P

 Nice! One of my aunts told me a story a couple of years ago that she would be in the kitchen, using the oven, and they'd hear this thumping in the wall in that general area. After a while it stopped, and later they found out it was a squirrel in wall behind the oven. And when they turned the oven on, it got hot, which = dead squirrel.

I laugh heartily at things I probably shouldn't.

My fellow cat owners, I'm sure you have lost one of your dear furry friends in the past. With a broken heart, I sadly must inform you all that one of ours has died this afternoon. I had to watch her die..It happened so fast that nothing could have been done to save her..

I don't really know, one moment she was fine and the next moment she was struggling to breathe, but the vet is pretty sure she had a blood clot.

Yes, the vet did comfirm, it was a blood clot she died from. Blood clots are very sudden and a very fast death and he assured us that she wasn't in any pain when she died, which left us comfort knowing that she didn't suffer. The saddest thing that there was nothing we could have done to help. The vet said I did the right thing and stayed with her while she died, letting her know she wasn't alone.
So now (although I don't really like but we don't have a choice) we're having her cremated and bringing her back home with us so that even though she is gone, she is still with us. But by my Pagan beliefs, she will not be gone forever and will return one day.
She was a big part of our family. I'm 25 and we've had her since I was 10 so that tells you how long she's been in our lives and how hard it is to deal with the fact that she's gone. Although we do have other cats, she was the one I was the closest to. She was always with me. Laying at the edge of my bed, laying on the floor next to my computer chair, she at times would even be in the bathroom with me. (when like brushing my teeth or combing my hair) She would lay down in bed with me when I was sick and stayed with me after I had minor surgery, and even just came over to see me just to cheer me up when I was sad. I had little games I use to play with just her.
I didn't just loose a pet, I lost a friend. She always kept me company and without her around, I feel lonely. I still find myself turning around to face my bed to pet her laying at the foot of it but she's not there, looking under the bed to tell her it's time to come out, but she's not there, looking down at the floor beside my computer chair to say hi to her, but she's not there, calling her when it's time to eat, but she does not come. But yet, I still feel like she is still here with me.

Now I will show to you all, a few favorite pics of my beloved pet and friend.

I don't know what I would do if one of my cats died. I'd probably start bawling my eyes out.

I definitely had to post in this club. I currently own three black cats, the eldest one being 18 years of age. The "boys" are 17 months and litter mates.

Mind you, I don't come close to my friend Starshine who has something like 13 cats.

Hey! Let me think, is that how many I have? Sarabi, Legolas, Strider, Drago, Cassoipeia. Sparkle, Starr, Maggie May, Captain Jack, Kiefer and Khaleesi. I have to count Gandalf who lives on my screen porch and Smoke who lives....somewhere...and comes around in the morning for food.

Yeah, that's 13.
