@ PD - Yeah, I know what you mean. I think though that Tim Burton was clever to include the storyline that Emily didn't want another bride to lose her groom, as she lost hers. I think that was a nice touch. And yes, she did get her own back on Lord Barkis. Great name that. :P

.....

@ PD - Well the characters are scary looking... but they are nice characters.... as the lyrics to one of the songs goes...

That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween

So they are the ones responsible for making kids scared at Halloween, but they kids like it, and it is really their job. :D

Has anyone seen the new Sweeney Todd trailer? It has a few more scenes in it than the last one.

*blinks* hey, I had nearly forgotten 'bout this club! :-D nice to see it back in business!

yes, it was very clever indeed. Lord Barkis? lol ah, yes that's right!very nice name indeed! :teehee:

hmmm, ok. I guess I just never got over the creepiness of the setting, characters, ect to actually see the characters for what they are.... how interesting. :teehee:

no, I haven't even seen the old trailer! :duh:

I kind of want to see Sweeny Todd, but it's rated R, so that's definitely out of the question.

PD - I don't think they're scary, but as I said before, that little duck with the sharp teeth scared the crud out of me when I was little. But I don't think it's scary - it's rather funny!

yeah, it does look like an interesting story... or I mean it sounds like one since I haven't actually seen any of the trailers. :P but the R thing might effect me seeing it... :erm: :P

hmmm, I guess what one person thinks is scary another doesn't. :P I think it has something to do with the setting and the animation though. As I've said before me and that kind of animation got off on the wrong foot long, long ago. ;)

Yeah, I know the R rating will probably pose a bit of a problem for quite a few people which is a shame. :-( If you love Sleepy Hollow, I'll bet you'll love it. :D

Yeah, when I first watched NBC I was fine... then the second viwing freaked me out and I didn't watch it for many years. Some of the creatures... unsettled me... esepcially the Oogie-Boogie man, although his song is my favourite out of the film. :P

*bounces into thread*

Seemed like a good idea reviving this thread, seen how the newest JD/TB film has just been released. :D

How does this one rank then with all their other films?

I'm torn because I love Sleepy Hollow but man.... ST was an awesome film. I'm probably too fresh from seeing it to be able to tell yet how much I really liked it.

*pat pat*

Nevermind, it will be out on DVD in a few months, before you know it. :-)

Thank you! It's a combination of the film and lyrics from the stage show.

Oh, wow they are all on YouTube? From the film? I doubt they'll be on there long, someone will delete it I'm sure.

yup, they were from the film.... I'm not sure if they were all on there (I couldn't find the My Friends one (that's the name, right?)) but they did have some. I dunno... they're on there for now. *shrug* why would someone delete them? There's PotC ones that have been on there forever.

Well it's because the films isn't out on DVD at the moment, so they are pirated clips so they may well delete them.

My Friends, yep you're right. That's one of my favourite tracks.

Ooooo, you meant literally from the film! :duh: now I got ya! lol I thought you were asking if they were the songs from the film! :headwall: no, they weren't from the film... they were from the film's soundtrack. :P

I thought so. :-D huzzah, for me!

my, I think we've totally lost you now, JF... er, should I call you Sweeney now? ;)

Ah, right because I've just been looking on YouTube and I could only find the songs with pictures put to them, not clips. I watched some trailers and documentaries though, so all is good.

LOL! JF will still be fine. :P

I have arrived! :P

Compared to Sleepy Hollow... a lot better! But as you said... it is very fresh for me too.. the blood hasn't dried yet. Hmm... perhaps I missed more of the humour Sleepy Hollow had. ST was an tragic story, all the characters suffered, whereas I saw more irony in Sleepy Hollow.

The opening credits reminded me of Charlie and the Choclate Factory, a river of blood instead of a river of chocolate. :-)

I didn't get it.. can I find clips from the movie on YouTube or only videos people have made with the songs?

haha, glad to hear JF will still work. ;)

Hey there, Ea!! :bye2: Wow, you would say ST is better even than Sleepy Hollow? that's... wow. It makes me want to see it. :P Hmmm, tragic story? right now I feel like watching a tragidy or something. (trust me, I do. I'm listeneing to every single tragic Willabeth video I can find on YouTube at the moment)

although a river of blood instead of a river of chocolate? I think I'd rather have the chocolate, thank you very much. ;)

what you'll find on YouTube will probably be mostly videos people put with the songs, Ea. Although you might find clips of the movie. sometimes they do appear... *points at some AWE ones that she watched on YouTube before the movie was on DVD*
