Has there been any plot news about the next Iron Man? Any news on the villain perhaps?

Hmmmm....I'm not sure. I haven't looked it up yet. I'm know Raivynn must know something about it because she's our resident comic expert. From what I've heard from her, they seem to be following the comics fairly well, so there will probably be some clues in there.

On another note, my dad, uncles, and two cousins are watching Iron Man downstairs as their "guys day out", and I'm not allowed to come down and watch my gorgeous Tony Stark! Well, that makes sense, since I'm a girl and all, but I'm still going insane since they have the volume up and the floor's vibrating with the amazing music and explosions. *pouts*

Well that sucks that you're getting left out. I'd be protesting rather loudly XD.

As for the plot for IM2. Nothing is concrete at the moment. But the main rumours for villians are Mandarin, Tony's Arch Nemesis and Crimson Dynamo, a Russian version of Iron Man. Mandarin will appear in one or both of the sequels of that I have no doubt. The whole 'Ten Rings' group is him, it has to be.
In the comics, Mandarin had ten rings of power, so the group being called 10 Rings was an obvious nod and hint to the comic book fans.

I doubt Mandarin will be exactly like the comic, but I'm very excited about the prospect of him appearing in the movie(s).

Also IM2 will be leading into the Avengers movie that is slowly being pieced together with Iron Man, the upcoming Thor and Captain America movies. I think IM3 will be set post-Avengers.

I'd need to check back a few months, but I'm absolutely positive Jon Favreau said there would be two more Iron Man movies and the Avengers joint project that he'll be helping to produce. I think he's also helping Kenneth Brannagh with Thor and the Director for Captain America (completely forgotten his name oops) so as all the movies tie intogether and help the Avengers look like a flawless transition from single character movies to a team movie.

He certainly has.
A lot of the Superhero movies have options for sequels in the contracts.
RDJ is definetly signed on for three and the Avengers movie and possibly options for an Avengers sequel(s) if the first is a success. Others have the option. Though I'd reckon Don Cheadle is signed on for the third as well.

I believe Iron Man 2 will start filming once RDJ is finished on Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movie. There's no official word on when Avengers will be made, though one rumour is it'll be getting made at the same time as Captain America. Time will tell I suppose.

Of those who will definetly play a role in the Avengers movie:
Captain America (cannot have Avengers without him), Thor, Iron Man, Nick Fury.
Possibles: Hawkeye, Wasp, Hank Pym/Ant Man, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine.

Another rumour is the Avengers are sent after the Hulk, as your regular old army just can't handle the big green guy. Nothings really official yet at all with Avengers other than Robert being signed on

Wow, not much activity here for a while... Well, Avengers and Iron Man 2 have already come and gone, and now it's time to wait for Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2!

Who do you think the villain for Avengers 2 will be? I'm thinking the Red Skull (aka Elrond lol) from Captain America and the end of the Avengers credits... Thoughts?

Aaahhh! A Tony Stark club!!! I'm so in! Can I be in? Where'd everybody go? IM2 has come and gone, and now they're filming IM3 and then Avengers 2!! And I agree with the thought about Pepper and Happy being together, it should have happened that way. Partly because its how it was in the comics, and partly because I just like the thought of Tony being unattached....
