Sorry, Nurrshie. You are just stuck with a bunch of immoral people who just don't understand honor. Lol. Jk. I do like some of the Starks like Robb and Sansa. And I adore Brienne who is arguably the most honorable character in the series.

I do like Brienne. She's fascinating. And ACOK did make me more intrigued with Jamie (as I figured I probably would be), continued to cement my love of Arya, Jon, and Tyrion. Still waiting for the library to get the next book so I can continue. But, to be honest, I don't particularly care who gets the iron throne. I'm much more interested in how they'll face the Others and how that will come into play (as well as this Targaryen I've seen a bit about? I don't really try to avoid spoilers). I tend to feel very...outside the main fandom. :P

I am interested to see how they deal with the Others, but besides that Jon is not an interesting character. I like the watch, but not Jon. Oh dear lord, I have so many Jaime feels. Pretty much any character with a redemption arc makes me love them. Tyrion is great, but this last book he bothered me. My obvious favorite characters are Sansa and the Hound because their story and ugh, GRRM is going to tear my little soul to shreds with them. I don't want to talk about the Targaryen issue because we have someone just starting up the book so maybe over pm.

My Iron Throne endgame wish is that Dany, Sansa, and Margaery join up and become biffle queens together. That's all I got, so no matter what really happens, I will be disappointed. :teehee:

Actually, I'm starting to think that these books will never be resolved. Unless the Others just kill everyone, which seems totally reasonable.

I know Dany is gonna take Westeros. These books are arguably completely centered around her. Sansa I can see taking the Queen in the North title for a bit, until Dany gets there and then she'll peace out and just be the Lady Wolf of Winterfell with her sworn sword Sandor always prowling about at her side (they are my OTP, if you could not tell). Margaery I can see being a bit too power hungry for her own good and getting demoted to just lady of Highgarden - which is not really a huge demotion. Maybe a seat on the small council if she gets into Dany's good graces.

I don't care who will get Iron Throne :teehee: Even if it not will be Dany, I will be fine with it. I only hope that Baelish won't be killed ^^ I love him too much for my own good.

Besides, I love the watch far more than Jon. The Others, wilds and this eager winter...it's what I love ^^

Haha. I love Petyr, but I also want him to die. I feel like it would be a suitable end for his character if Varys shows him who is the real master of whispers. Or if one of his plans turns on him.

I have read all of the books, but have not watched the television series as I tend to be skeptical as to whether or not it would satisfy my sensibilities. I tend to be somewhat of a purist and don't take kindly to deviations and contrivances.

As for the books, I found the first three quite wonderful but gradually lost interest in the entire project whilst reading the next ones ..... too many plots and too much focus on minor characters that did not interest me in the slightest.

Having said that: I will still read the next book in the series when it comes out.

^ YES.

I loved the first three books, but, lost interest in the 4th. IT WAS SO SLOW. Also, some of the minor characters didn't interest me. However, after watching the series on TV, my interest peaked in the minor characters! So, I want to go back and re-read the series again, maybe I'll enjoy the 4th book more.

I got the first book, Game of Thrones, for Christmas last year and still am struggling with it. I have never in my life had such trouble reading a book...even The Sil!

But I love the TV show and really don't think Season 1 is too far off the mark from Book 1. I can't say about the others.

I have all the seasons on DVD and love, love, love watching them, as does my friend. We can't wait for the next season to start but I think we have to wait until April for those precious 10 episodes.

I think they should make more than 10 episodes per season. It is over before it begins!

LOL .... if you're having trouble with the first book, wait until you get to the later ones in the series.

I don't think I am going to get the rest of the books. Well, if I find them at a yard sale, I will. I do not like to struggle with a book and this one really has me stumped but maybe, maybe, I will keep at it.
