Argh that is so true about getting attached to characters. WHY... WHY? GRRM do you have to butcher EVERYONE? Both literally and figuratively!!

I know the question wasn't aimed at me, but I'll answer anyway- Sansa and Brienne are my favs, I like Jaime too, and I liked to Jon to start with at least.

Various thoughts on various characters...

Jon - I feel for him, but he whines too much. Hey, buddy, everyone's life sucks in this series, you're the only whiner. I'm pretty neutral about him. But Kit Harrington is pretty so I like him more in the TV series because I can.

Stark children - I like most of them well enough, and their chapters are usually better than some of the others', but I have this feeling that if I met any of them in Real Life, I would detest them. For no real reason. Except maybe Bran. I like Bran, he's cool. I just want him to ride around on his pony and be happy.

Daenerys - All the points for being a main female character that I don't hate, although I'd like her better if she just wore clothes more often. Everyone, male or female or young or old or pretty or not pretty, looks better with clothes. :P

Viserys - hate hate hate hate but at the same time I kind of feel bad for him and his obvious mental issues. I don't know. I miss him though, which is weird, because all through AGOT I was like "ugghas;ldkgj hurry up and die please."

Tyrion - Hated him at first, and now I like him. But not exactly a good like. Maybe. I don't knkow what to think about him, but his chapters are consistently good (so far, at least) so that helps.

Various other people - Loras Tyrell needs to be a Major Major Major Character because his existence makes me happy. Also Theon is a tool but I think I could end up liking him. And I feel obliged to like Catelyn because we share a name. :)

YAAAAY, finally got part 2, 3a and 3b in from the library. Guess how I will be spending the next days :-D I'll let you know when I'm finished!

Yes, everyone respond, then I can see just how generally unpopular my opinions are on this series too! :P Nah, I jest. But I do always end up liking the characters everyone hates and hating the ones everyone loves.

Arya is my absolute favorite. And Jon, a little bit. Theon is definitely my least favorite, but somehow I like the Hound. Sometimes, anyway :P

Oooh Ana, I like Sandor too- well I suppose that's not the right way to put it, I think he's one of the most interesting (and conflicted) characters in the series and GRRM just teases us with little snippets of him. I think he's one character I'd love to get a pov chapter of- but I don't think we ever will!

But I do agree on Loras! In fact all the Tyrells are awesome.

I'm just going to live in a happy alternate universe where Renly is king of everything and everyone dresses in very snazzy things and there is sunshine and good food and friendship.

Of course...Lysa Arryn :goofy: She is the most biatchy biatch ever created. Gregor, Joffrey, Cersei and...Stannis. I don't even know what I hate him so much.

Oh my people, has anyone see the promo images and trailers for Series 2 of the TV series ( not really sure whether it's GoT s2 or aCoK now...)
