Oh can i plz join? i just started reading The Silmarillion and so far i luv it!! i have no clue why so many people think its 'boring'!!! i mean, a tolkien book can NEVER, i repeat, NEVER be boring!!! i luv tolkien and all his amazing books, and the silmarillion is one of my total favs!!

I must agree with you. Many people think Tolkiens books are boring because of there length and all the description, but on the contrary that's what makes all the more interesting to pick up and read. There is so much history and culture crammed in how could one not enjoy it.

Exactly, Larael. That's precisely what's makes them so fascinating and enjoyable.

Oh, I know!! All of my friends think that I am crazy for being soooooo obsessed with LotR and all of Tolkien's books- they think of them as extremely dull and boring. Then and again, I guess I think of them as crazy for thinking that.
