My mums taking me skiing in May, and I don't know a thing about it?!? Could anyone give me some tips for beginners?

Well, first thing: Don´t be afraid. You can´t hurt yourself to death or something, and if you fall, you˝ll get up.
Second: have good skis and stuff. With bad equipment, you won´t get far.
Third: have someone with you to show you HOW to do the whole thingy --- a mom as teacher is a great idea, it was quite the same with me [ha! Now I´m better than her!]
Fourth: Be "wise". Don´t do anything like, crazy, or that would look fanc< but would be hard to make.

Ok, I feel like a teacher now. :blink:
And I hope I was clear. o.O

could i join? I love watching skiing on t.v especially the olympics! I've gone skiing a couple times but i'm not very good at it, i'd rather snowboard

I haven't been skiing anywhere particularly fancy, just at Thredbo in Australia and The Remarkables in NZ with spring snow... which was kind of annoying :annoyed:

I'm not the best skier, but I can now do parallel skiing without thinking about it! Yay! :-D

And I was so jealous when my cousin went skiing in Canada for a MONTH... :jawdrop: she gets to go everywhere :explode:

Mel: I know those things ... Everyone go everywhere, while I´m stuck on small, unfancy ski centers... And I´m not THAT good, either, but...
