Oh, what a brilliant idea, Arwen! I would be delighted to join! I am a devoted fan to the Colin-Darcy.  No other saticfies the role as he does. I saw the new version, and thought it was...good. But I'm afraid the Matthew-Darcy did not compare to the Colin-Darcy in the least bit!
Anyway, I'd love to join the club! |

Velcome! I'm a Matthew-Darcy girl myself - it's something in his eyes I like Colin-Darcy too, but whenever I watch him as Darcy, it's like he's missing a couple muscles in his face, because he neeeeeeever smiles except at his own wedding - he doesn't even crack a grin when Lizzy accepts him o.O But he still makes a great Darcy, I agree.

Awesome the banner is really cute too *stares* I love that scene. Can you believe that I actually had doubts about MM as Darcy before I saw the movie? As handsome as he is, he's not very photogenic in the pics I saw of him before I saw the movie. But gosh, he was my perfect Darcy in the movie.

I agree, and when MM smiles, his whole face lights up and adds a whole new demension to his character. Who else completely melted during the scene when Georgiana said: "but he said you played so well!" Elizabeth: "Then he has purgered himself most greatly" (something like that) And then THAT sweet grin.

I know, I love that bit
Me: He SMILED!!! Alert the world! Mr. Darcy grinned! This is international news! I had doubts about MM before I saw the movie, too! I'm one of those weirdos who follows the progress of movies from the very first stills/production photos to the theatrical release, and the first pictures I saw of MM weren't very flattering. I guess he's just one of those guys that looks better in motion than in stills (kind of like Patrick Wilson as Raoul from Phantom of the Opera...). |

Can I join?? I LOVE P&P and Mr. Darcy is one of my FAV charrys... I haven't seen the new one yet (lack of transportation) so Colin is still my fav Darcy.
