I have a message from my co-founder, Araturiel, for all of you reading this.

“Hello, friends.

I started putting “I AM NOT A FANGIRL” in my signature after I saw LotR for the first time. Immediately my favourite character was Legolas, but when I told that to people, they would always say “Oh, Orlando Bloom, hmmmmm?” I would correct them, saying it had nothing to do with the actor (despite him being one of my favourites), but I don’t think they always believed me. This is what the club is for.

We all have some slight fangirl-like tendencies at times, but is that really you? Do you avoid the pink, chatspeak forums worshipping Orlando Bloom? Do you turn away when you hear people comparing the hotness of their favourite TV actors? Then the Non-Fangirl club is for you! This club is not just about fangirlism of LotR, it’s about fangirlism in general. Even if you still smile when you watch Legolas’ stunts, or feel something when you the irresistible grin of...whoever, feel free to join!

Hmm, I'd say this sounds a lot like me.
While I do find people attractive, it's definetly not the reason for me being a fan.

Kind of a bit too old to be all fan girly now.

Unfortunately, my computer is having some difficulties--for some reason I can only log onto A-U on the extremely faulty Internet Explorer, which has been known to crash my computer suddenly and without warning.
