Hitler might have seen the people who were kind and interacted with Jews to be inferior as well. It was lowering themselves to their level and he viewed that as wrong. So he found it was more fitting to just eliminate them as well.

Yes I know... it's just terrible also how he just took everything the Jews owned and gave it to the Germans for very little money and the Jews even had to pay for the damage the Nazis had made to their stores and all that

Of course it was terrible, but what are you going to do when your country`s governament starts blaming you for your blood? You get your stuff and run!(I have no idea how many escaped during or before the war without being in the ghettoes or camps)

not many escaped. Many of them stayed because they tought Germany was their home, they didn't feel different from the others and they felt safe there. They didn't think that it could all end this badly

yes definetely. But so did many Germans. When Hitler got the power in 1933 many Germans thought that he wouldn't last long, just like all the others before him, but they were wrong... even politicians from other partys didn't think that Hitler would be doing all that.

Another reason was that they couldn't believe it. They would always think that it was ridiculous. I mean, why would the government punish them? They had no reason. Perhaps, maybe if a Jew worked in a political position --- they could have seen it and he would lead THEIR family out.

If a Jew went to a Jewish community in Germany at that time and say that the Nazis would come and kill them, everyone in the Jewish community would scoff and basically label the person who told them this crazy.

yes that's true. I saw a bit of a movie about it on monday... for us it might seem strange that they didn't flee, because we know what happened but they didn't think that it was possible..

If I were living back then, and something like this happened in the US, I probably wouldn't've fled as well. Now, since all of this has happened, I think my family and I would have.

Yes I think so too... I think if something did happen here now we would leave as soon as we could, but back then I also think we would have stayed.

I wouldn`t abandon my homeland, if it was war I would rather die than run... perhaps...

but about USA... the possible thing could be a civil war :D seriously the country is divided and that is a basis enough, you just need a spark

PS. Just a whacky assumption, btw have you heard of the guy on the net that has said he came from the future and seriously everything he has predicted has come to pass so far? :D

Our country's not that divided. But I won't get into the political angle of that.

Eh, I think Schindler's List is an overall best movie of everything during WWII. Atleast dealing with the Nazi vs. Jews relationship.
