Background: Schindler's List is a famous and very well known film made that portrayed the Holocaust in a historically accurate way. Released in 1993, Schindler's List was directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie is a three hour long black and white flashback about an ambitious German businessman named Oskar Schindler, in good terms with the German Nazi Party, who opens a factory using Jewish labor. After he witnesses violent acts against the Jews he eventually turns his production factory into a shelter and haven for Jews.

Rating: This movie is rated R. Even with pictures in black and white, in the film there is brief nudity and very graphic violence.

I love that film - we watched it a school, and because I missed most of it, I had to rent it and nearly cried at it. I never cry at movies.
The girl in the red coat made our whole class get really upset

Anyways, yeah the little girl in the red coat was very depressing but it was very well done as Schindler's conscious. I mean, the little girl he has nothing to do with and knows nothing about changes his perspective of everything!


Curunir: I agree. This is possibly my most favorite film ever. It so heartbreaking and so very well filmed that I couldn't help but think anything wrong with it. The music was fabulous, I applaud John Williams --- And I love the realistic scenes and details in the movie.

Amon Goeth is a complete lunatic, obvious? yes... I don`t they really shot peoples brains out always for fun or something like that, even the nazi`s must have been human enough... I am not saying it all is too much in the film, but in some movies/things the nazi cruelty goes just way over.. :-D

Well we don't know that. [shrugs] That could possibly have happened. I mean, recorded history about Amon Goeth is dreadful and from reading all the things he did to Jews. Though in the movie, there was at least one small miniscule reason why he would shoot Jews.
