I wish... maybe once I graduate I'll try NaNo for the fun of it, but I'm just way to busy to write 50,000 words, let alone a couple of 5-page essays for school. What about you?

I tried several years back and got to 20k, that's pretty close right? But yeah agreed. I kinda just stalk the Nano forums at this time of year. I try to write consistently year-round anyway.

Lessien, it's basically a challenge where you try to write at least 50,000 words (preferably a novel, but it could be anything) during the month of November. I think that there's also secondary events throughout the year (I know that there's one in the summer, for instance) but NaNo's the official one.

Here's the link: NaNoWriMo. Just sign up and write away! Good luck if you decide to do it.

Good luck to everyone who's decided to do NaNo this year!

Sorry, I'm not that into research writing. I'm more of a creative writer. What type of research are you doing, Dire?

Just Tolkien-related scholarship. I'm taking a break from school and I need to keep my research talents up to par.

Good for you for keeping up with it! Do you mostly focus on LotR-related topics, then, or just Tolkien in general?

Probably more like LotR. But I'm not sure. I'm also really tempted to do NaNoWriMo, but idk. I really slack off on my writing sometimes.
