I agree too, they should have done more with Faramir and Eowyn in the movie. There is some in the EE of ROTK which I am glad for, but to read that chapter in the book is so beautiful of how they met and fell in love :) I love it!

They are my favorite couple as well :) They both had such a sad story of both of them losing most of their respective families and all the hardships they went through. And to find each other in the Houses of Healing like they did...wonderful!

But do you think they would have had time for it? If they stuck in some E/F scenes in the movie, they would have had to cut out other scenes, and I can't bear to think of losing anything else!

Princess of Ithilien, you could be right.
I could not bear taking out any more scenes either, but if they did put in any E/F scenes, they may have taken some out :(
The theatrical movie was already at 3,5 hours so I guess they had to leave some things out to keep the movie from getting to be too long.

And I also agree with what you said in a previous post, by PJ not putting more scenes in. It does leave more to the imagination. I know it did for me when I first saw the movie.

I guess with E/F being my favorite couple, I wished there was more, but I do agree with you that there would not have been enough time. And it does make you wonder when you see them next at the coronation and they are smiling at each other :)

Personally, i think that E&F are the perfect couple and i was really pleased when Tolkien matched them up. i think pj could have had a bit more of a partnership between them - becasue the actors look so good together and i think Miranda and David would have really appreciated that part in their roles.
but i can't say peter j made a mistake - it seems that is how he wanted it to appear.

I remember them talking about wanting to develop the characters more in the commentaries... huh... and Houses of Healing would have really helped develop their characters.
