rotk's actually my least favourite cuz it deviates most from the book. the fact that saruman's missing is an obvious example of that - it's just ridiculous that they cut him out.

Lol, RotK is my favorite of the theatrical versions, even if Saruman isn't in it, but the RotK EE is my least favorite. That one really deviates from the books.

I thought that it was very sad that they missed out Sauruman.
It was unfair because for those who haven't read the book, they were unable to see what happened to him. For that reason, I believe that it was a very unfortuante incident.

And yet, it's in the Extended Edition, so it's tolerable. It's all the other changes in the EE that drive me crazy and make me dislike it more than the other two EEs.

Uhm yeap, it was quite asthonishing to see no Saruman in the last film, even though he is in the Extended Version. You know, this kinda details enrich the tension in the book and...being omitted..that's not a good job for the viewers of the film. But...anyway, at least we can see him at the very beginning...
