I've got some info about Fell beasts from this tolkien encyclopedia that I have so here goes:

Swifter than the wind were these creatures that had beak and claw of bird, neck of serpent and wing of Bat. It is said they were fed on Orkish meats and grew beyond the size of any other winged creature of the Thrird Age. They were living creatures like Dragons but more ancient still. They had been bred by Melkor in lurking shadows in the Ages of the Lamps, when Kraken serpent came from the Pits of Utumno.

I have a fell beast and I'll tell you that sometimes they get a little restless but they're really lovely. Over at the Nazgul Club we have a camp set up for our fell beasts. Instead of orkish meats we feed them pineapple, canned tuna, peas, dog food and a few other things. Each one has their own preference. :) They're fabulous creatures, trust me. And no, I'm not crazy!

MrsDominicMonaghan, you sound like you take better care of the fell beasts than the nazgul themselves!

What are the fell beasts? Someone said they're dragons but I think they are a bad version of the teradactol.

*ahem* I will repeat:

Swifter than the wind were these creatures that had beak and claw of bird, neck of serpent and wing of Bat. It is said they were fed on Orkish meats and grew beyond the size of any other winged creature of the Thrird Age. They were living creatures like Dragons but more ancient still. My favourite bad guy is Sauron - he's so mysterious and scary! But if we count Gollum as a bad guy he'd be my favourite! I love Gollum as a character, I really feel sorry for him...

I feel sorry for [s]Gollum[/s] Smeagol too! Especially when Frodo tells him that his name used to be Smeagol and then he looks up with these wide, wet eyes - it's really sad, what happened to him, and it's not entirely his faullt - but then you might as well say the same to all criminals in real life - the fact that they commited crimes may not be entirely their fault - it's just the wrong environment they were brought up in and how they lacked self-esteem which in turn prodded them in the direction of crimes - I don't know. :confuzzled: :bye2:
