I have long watched the lord of the Rings series and I believe that Arwen could have a better husband than Aragorn. I state this because she is a beauty, and have you seen his hair!!!! EUUUUHHHH!!! Just think about it, why....? Anyway, I also think that since he will be king of Gondor, he wont have time for her. (TEAR) I am a guy!!! I LOVE ARWEN!!!!!!!!!! ALL HAIL ARWEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LONG LIVE LIV!!!!!! javascript:emoticon('') She is definately an angel set on earth here and now. I cry every time she says: "Ima Arwen, telen lathiel. Lasto beth nin todo da Galad." I know I didnt spell it right, dont hurt me Arwen, but I am not...yet...an expert on elvish literature. So anyway, back to why I came on, arwen is an earth goddess, so...she does not deserve Aragorn...who rolls in cow poop!!!! HAIL ARWEN UNDOMIEL!!!!! BOOO ARAGORN!!!!!!!

Well, personally I think they are the perfect pairing. It all goes back to Luthien and Beren [Luthien happens to be somehow related to Arwen which is why she share's the same fate].

I also think that the fact that Arwen see's through all the dirt and grime on Aragorn shows that she does not love him for his looks only. She see's him as a king, and speaking of him as a king...

I think the fact hat Arwen and Aragorn have 4 children proves that he had plenty of time for her.

Their story is one of true love and I don't think it should be changed. :)

I ditto Larael Greenleaf. Their story is beautiful, IMHO. Especially the full story, not just what we get in the main body of the books.

Yeah, I mean, Aragonr was a wonderful guy, a King of Kings, and he was most definately worthy of Arwen. and Plus, they were in love. Does it matter if they deserve each other? When 2 people love each other enough that they are willing to give up everything to be together, things like that cease to matter. I mean, think of Beren and Luthien - Luthien was said to be one of the most beautiful Elves ever born, and I don't recall that ever being said of Beren, (XD) but they both suffered great pain and peril to be together, because they loved each other.

and anyways, I love Aragorn!

First of all I thought I would restrain myslf from commenting on this post but seemingly I failed since I have a tendency to speak out freely against what seems wrong in my eyes.

I really pitty those people who only take virtue in the outer beauty but not what lies behind the flesh, deep within the soul of the person, and I mean in general not just here where the case is between Arwen and Aragorn.

In my opinion the stories of all bonds between mortals and the elven kind are rather moving, starting from the mentioned couple of Beren and Luthien and spanning all the way till Arwen and Elessar. All those deserved eachother for the bond in their hearts was unbreakable and the living proof was the maidens sacrifice of her immortality.

Honestly this topic is rather out of the line but hey, we live in a free world, everybody is entitled to their own opinion

Sure, of course they are, and I fully agree with you on all points Aemornion, especially about looking past the surface. 'All that is Gold does not Glitter' (Even though i think Aragorn is hot. XD)

It is true that I can get wild up on the subject. Just to let you know that I not only love her physical Beauty but also her Inner Beauty. Aemornion, I thank you for saying that. I agree with what you said. The way I saw her marriage was just strange. I, just like he father, was proud to see her married to a good man who will protect her. And I will look past all the jeolocy to see that message. So, for all you Aragorn Fans, I will submit to say that Aragorn will make a good husband for Arwen. My blessings upon them. And thank you for helping me see that.

ARAGORN AND ARWEN FOREVER!!! YAY!!!

Anyway, I object, because, they were so literally made for each other...literally, it followed the tale of Beren and Luthien, -sigh- oh I love that tale! But yeah :D hehe, I had a little too much sugar!

Heh... weird. I think they are beautiful together, besides... Aragorn has clean hair at the ending. ;)

Also, someone said they had four children? I believe that's incorrect. I'm fairly certain that Tolkien tells us they had one son and SEVERAL daughters, which I think implies more than four.

No time for her? I am sure he had plenty. The white tree bloomed. The land became at peace. What would keep him busy?

Also, not everyone is attracted to the same sort of people, so you can't say that Aragorn doesn't deserve her. She obviously loved him - so much that she gave up her immortality! He must have deserved her...

Arwen's definently a beauty, but who says a beauty needs the most handsome man on Earth? Obviously love isn't all about looks and there are lots of people who find Aragorn handsome. Guess it's all a matter of taste.

FRODOFAN!!! I agree! I watched the 3rd movie much closer last night and his hair was clean. Excelent observation Watson. So, I guess this also has the same principal of beauty and the beast. Arwen being the beauty and....you know. In the end, the beast falls and love and in the end true love and the spell is broken. I think you can see the connection

Oops, I think that'd be me, sorry for that little bit of misinformation. I think I got my facts mixed up a tad. :)

That is true...what love does to man? It corrupts us, making us vunerable to the darkness. Love is a powerful thing, yet a dangerous thing.
