How long do show series usually run over there?

Well the average one hour show, maybe has 6-10 episodes at the very most. Shows like Law and Order UK had around 7 per series. But something like Doctor Who varies from around 8-10. Longer shows. Sometimes special one off shows, maybe a Charles Dickens adaptation, might have a lot of episodes, but that's a special case. The 2 hour shows, you used to be lucky to get three episodes for series, or sometimes like with Midsomer Murders, you'd get six, but only see one once every 2 months, so it never felt like a series. Downton Abbey kind of changed all that, as there would be 7 or 8 episodes, which is quite amazing actually.
In answer to your question in the shortest way possible - we get waaaaay less episodes per seasons than you do.

I think August is probably my favourite character though. I mean, Emma is being so dumb. This young guy with a nice face, and designer stubble, roars up on a motorbike, always wears leathers, takes an interest in her and the kid, tells her nothing more weird than stuff her 9 year old says, and she doesn't have any interest him? Girl, you loco.
August is hot, I think this is the first time I ever found myself saying "Pinocchio is hot" Emma just doesn't trust people, it happens when you find yourself abbandoned by pretty much everyone, and this guy shows up in the middle of nowhere, kinda shady, can't blame her for not trusting him, then he dumps the whole "curse" on someone who only believes in rational stuff only because he has to before he turns to wood, yeah...cuckoo lol but I AM hoping they hook up in season two, I think they would make a wonderful couple. Quote: Poor Sidney though. When is he ever going to learn? he's like a junkie that just WON'T get help till he hits rock bottom lol something will have to happen for him to snap out of it.

I would just like to say, that even with wooden legs and a wooden arm, August is a lot sexier than most people you see around in the world today. I'm pretty convinced they are meant to be. But as to how all this is going to end I have no idea. Ages, and timelines and world swapping. If everyone goes back to fairytale land, are they going to age accodingly? Otherwise Emma will be the same age as her mother. Gah, so many questions.
Can I just say that that was really brave of Henry to eat that apple turnover. I mean, he didn't know how it was going to affect him! Who's going to be his true love to break the curse?
Boy I can't wait for next week's episode. I was thinking for a moment that Regina was going to tell Gold that she has Belle locked up, but then all she'd get from him was his help once and then his hatred forever... but I honestly cannot wait to see the episode when he realizes that's where Belle is. Going to be fireworks. the wood dirty jokes are poisoning my mind, HELP! my apologies for the spoiler, I will shut my piehole till you see the finale, please post so I can talk about it

It's like Michelle Dockey from Downton Abbey with those eyebrows and that voice. WHY YOU SO PERFECT??
Oh, yeah the mayor has some great style. It clearly says "don't mess with this sister". But again her make-up and hair and everything is just perfect. I think the wardrobe and make-up people did a really great job with the females in this show. Everything suits their characters perfectly. I will say this about Ginnifer Goodwin: she almost made me cut off all my hair into a pixie-cut. Especially since we've got the same sort of facial structure. I looked at her and whined "I waaaant toooo loooook like thaaaat!!" Absolutely adorable. Though sometimes I question her choice of pants. (Or, you know, the costume people's choice of pants.) When she was in jail she wore these, like, red skinny things. Didn't like it, personally. But I agree with you, her hats rock! What I like about Regina's style is when she's the mayor, she really does look like a mayor. She's got that sort of professional-looking, rather bland attractiveness that you get in female politicians and newswomen, who don't want to be sexy per se but who need to be seen a lot. But then she becomes the queen and BOOM! Sexiness abound. Johnny's Fan wrote: I like David and Mary-Maragert but there is only so much indecision I can take. And I think Prince Charming got a rum deal. Most of the other characters are not too far away from their true characters, sometimes I just want to slap David. I know what you mean. But I think the thing with David is the sort of subtle message of, chivalry doesn't work in the real world. The whole Kathryn thing, I think, proved that. He went back to her to be chivalrous, and then he was so paranoid about hurting anyone that he ended up hurting everyone. I sort of like that message, though I don't always like David. He's much cuter when paired with Mary-Margaret.

Oh yeah, I think that's a fascinating thing about David's character. Because we have this ideal of "every girl wants to find her Prince Charming," but Prince Charming can only exist in the fantasy world. In the real world, he's going to screw up and be human.

OMG Officially THE worst ending to a TV series EVER! It was like the ending for LOST and that was bad enough but I like this show a lot more. Come on, couldn't we have seen August alive and OK and maybe running in to his father? Or maybe ol' Jiminy running into Gepetto or just something like that? Just to sweeten the deal?? Gah, so frustrating. EDIT: And another thing that has been bugging me, who the heck is the doctor? Or have I just forgotten??

I honestly didn't think about it from that point of view, then again I never really gave his character much thought. I just kept thinking he had bad luck But that definitely makes sense.

I'm really excited. My friend has a theory that he's Prince Eric, which I would find really interesting, but I'm holding back all judgement. I just want to knoooow!
