Hugo has a most marvelous voice for the character of V. I love that movie and the graphic novel.
I need to go buy that movie before I move....

Haha! That seems to describe it perfectly! It takes a lot of talent to never show your face yet become a completely human character. By the end of the movie, I forget that I have never seen his true face. Its brilliant.

Alan Moore ranks up there with Frank Miller as one of the greatest storytellers in the comic industry.

Oh my god. You got the DVD? I was gone when it came out...and then school's started and I've just been too busy to buy it. Though, trust me, it's worthy of belonging on my shelf.
Yay for screencaps!!!!!
Since I'm no good at making graphics, I've been thinking about having some made....And I like the "remember, remember" one you have! It rocks!!!
I have yet to read the comic, but I haven't been able to find it. *tear* The day after I saw the movie, I was rushing all over town trying to find it. But to no avail. I have no idea where to find them...

Happy to help ^^
oh, btw.. this has been bugging me forever now.. (i can't seem to find any V fansites.. so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help..oh, and a warning for those reading who haven't seen the movie yet, the next paragraph contains spoliers.. )
At the end of the movie, when the house of parliament blows up, and everyone takes off their masks, did anyone notice that people who died in the movie, were there.. the camera zooms in on Gordan, the little girl with the glasses, Valerie etc for like half a second or so.. I'm so confused by that scene.. I wont rest untill I know why they were put in there!
almost forgot! - I'm happy to make some V sigs and stuff for people.. just PM me.. and my old set..(the sepia remember one...) I'm happy to give it to someone.. ^^

Well, I know there's like the official site. The url isn't coming to me right now...but I did enjoy that site.
Um....that scene. Such an awesome scene. Ha ha ha. But um, I did notice that. When I first saw it, I was a bit thrown off. Though I don't know the official explanation, I'm assuming that it has something to do with the fact that you can't kill ideas. Like, oh, how do I explain this....they all fought and died for what they believed in. And those people ar all in us. Does that make sense? Probably not. I don't really know why they did that....but that's kind of what I got out of it. SOMETHING like that...mind you...I always have problems expressing my thoughts when they're really hard to desern even for myself. Ha ha ha.
So, where did you find the comics? I just don't know where to look. Maybe I'm just missing them completely...ha ha ha. I wouldn't be surprised.
I love your new siggy and avvie! I think they're awesome! SUCH an awesome quote from the movie!!!
I'd love for you to make me a siggy of V for Vendetta.....however nothing is really coming to mind expect that whole scene with the dominos. I just thought that was the coolest thing...ha ha ha.

Try Amazon or Ebay for the V for Vendetta graphic novel.
Amazon should have it for a reasonably decent price.

vforvendetta.com is pretty cool
and I would love some wallpapers of V...I like the ones of the official site but I want one with phrases like "remember, remember the fifth of November" or the one with the phrase that you have in your siggy at the moment

I liked when V was first talking to Evey and begins using all of those words with V and gets all dramatic. The entire line is:
"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."
I also liked it when he said, "No. What you have are bullets and the hope that when your guns are empty I'm no longer standing, because if I am, you'll all be dead before you've reloaded." Hugo has such a cool voice.

lol! Yes! I love the alliteration used!! My jaw literally dropped in awe when I first saw that scene ^^ go Hugo!!!
I love Evey's quote afterwards...
"Are you like, a crazy person? "
And also V's 'coincidence' quotes as I like to call them
- "...it means that I, like God, do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence."
- "There is no such thing as coincidence, only the illusion of coincidence. "
Yes.. I did have a brief galnce at the official site.. but I should really go back and have a proper look ^^. I actually like the idea and have been dwelling on the thought of starting a fansite.. but I haven't dealt with CSS and HTML in about 2 years now and I'm realising I've got alot to remember and I dont know if i could manage a site all on my own.. I'd have no problem updating.. just the layout and host-finding could be a problem. -__- .. I think I'll stick with screen-capping and making 'pretty pics' for now..
Today, I went to my local bookstore and asked if they had the V for Vendetta graphic novel (the comic book i got with the DVD goes up to where V visits Delia.. I've got 3 quaters of the whole comic saved on my computer, but i need the last quarter.. ) .. anyway.. it looks like I'll be paying about $AUD40 for it.. i have to order it, seeing as they dont stock them here in Aus.
I'll try loading up some pages of the comics for you guys sometime soon ^^
