It's about a famous conductor named Daniel who has lived in Italy most of his life, a household name down there but due to illness he decides to move back to his childhood village in Northern Sweden to get away from the stressful life he lead down in Milan. Though seeking only peace and solitude he becomes involved with the choir (much against his will at first) in the village - the members feel he is definitely the man (being so experienced) to help them get better. Daniel wants to make music that will open up the hearts of people and that's exactly what the film does!
Everytime I see it I feel absolutely emotionally drained but in a good way. You laugh, you cry, you rejoice, you feel anger and you end up absolutely loving it!
