Has anyone else seen this movie? I just got back from watching it, and I loved it! I think it really worked for me because I could identify with both situations; I have no sense of fashion whatsoever (nor do I care to), and I have an impossible boss (but we love him anyway...sometimes). I was just wondering if anyone else loved this film. It wasn't by any means the greatest movie of all times, nor did it uncover any profound truths, but it was a good laugh and very much worth the price of the ticket.

No, but I had a director that came close. We referred to him as the "Drama Nazi" who didn't like us laughing and playing around in the theatre because it was "his church" and wanted us to be in character at all times.

Lol actually I was pointing out some very interesting parallels to my friend as we were walking out. He's never 100% satisfied with our work, he likes to have everything just right, he rarely shows any outward approval even when we do get it right, and he still doesn't know either of our names :P. Every time Miranda called Andy "Emily" I thought of him always calling you Liberty (note to those who don't work with us: her camp nickname is "Seahorse" not "Liberty"). But like I said, we love him anyway :D

I did mention to my mom, though, that we need to take a video camera out to camp and make a spoof named "The Devil Wears Adidas"

Hahahaha. That's very true! Although I don't think he's called me Liberty. It was Celebrity. Who was standing fairly close to me at the time... *shrugs* Oh and on one of our breaks, he told us to go clean the skit shed cuz sitting around isn't good for him.

And yes, lets go film it!

I thought it looked like a fun movie to see, but I don't get to the theaters much...it'll probably end up being a dollar-theater flick (not that I get there much, either), or a DVD rental. Meh. Anne Hathaway's always been cool, though, and Meryl Streep is a fantastic actress :)

I went to go see it yesterday with Sida, and I loved it! It wasn't ground-breaking cinematically, but really enjoyable, and I'm glad I went. From what I've read/heard about the book, the movie might actually be better, though I'll have to read the book to see if that's true.

I don't think I'll like it because I know quite a lot about the fashion world and it kinda seem to be taking the mickey out of it! *shudders*

It was a good movie. Meryl Streep is fantastic, as always, and Anne Hathaway was surprisingly good. Thankfully, I've never had a boss like Miranda. *shudders*

^ nah, it's not taking the mickey... it's kinda just showing how it's a VERY harsh business to be in... and how people dedicate themselves to much to it. and at the same time there's quite alot of comedy - iu'm sure you'd like it - it's a chick flick and very much your sort of film.
