Post subject:  Nikita (The CW 2010 show)
I know I'm not alone in my love for this show, and I just wanted to see how many other people enjoy it. :)

It's a fairly traditional tried-and-true story of "Awesome beastly woman is part of an assasination group against her will and breaks out of said group. With her awesome skills, she will take down said group." BUT...something about it is just so intruging. There's really nothing new, but the acting and the script are excellent, and it hasn't gotten old yet. What do you guys think? :-D

Yay, a Nikita thread!

SO. I love this show. Like SR said, good acting, solid episodes, awesome action sequences, and everybody has chemistry with everybody. Seriously, it's every 'shippers dream come true.

I'm really enjoying how they're doing the Nikita/Alex relationship; I love stories about great friendships/partnerships, and it's nice to see a well played female storyline.

Finally, MICHAEL. I'm so excited to see where they go with his storyline. One Way just blew my mind; this could be so awesome.

I completely agree with the chemistry aspect; normally I know EXACTLY who I ship with who, but now....Michael/Nikita, Michael/Alex (Alex's a girl, by the way), Thom/Alex, Nikita/Owen...I'm stuck. :-P

I always knew I loved Michael, but he didn't scream "love" to me until this episode. He and Nikita were so brilliant together, and I loved seeing the darker side of him. I also adore seeing him be so protective of Alex. That scene where he said, "I can't lose you, too," just made me whimper. :-D

I keep on hearing that they're going to introduce new love interests for Nikita and Alex, but my question is: How many more couples can there possibly be? They both have 2 each already! :lol:

Yeah, I'm the same; it's very, very rare that I ship the same person in different pairings. So far, I have a soft spot for Michael/Nikita and Michael/Alex, leaning towards Michael/Nikita. I have to agree that Michael's very protective of Alex, and it comes across as very sweet, without being sappy or sentimental. :) I think Alex reminds him a lot of Nikita, actually.

OH, and his little grin and head shake in 1.07 after they found out Nikita was still alive; he's part "You guys, of course she got away. She's Nikita." and part "Oh, great, now I'm gonna have to try kill her again. I hate this job." :lol:

For right now, I'm just waiting to see where it all goes.

And in addition to those 'new love interests' and their current pairings, they both had families before/during Division! :lol:

I'm excited to for 1.10-looks like Owen's back!

I'm equally split, depending on whom he's with at the time. :-P I love the underlying chemistry he has with Nikita and those flirtatious glances, but a relationship with Alex would be so sweet. The looks he gives her are just so adorable! And I LOVED it when he broke in on her and that creepy guy who was beating her up. And after she had that test from Division to see if she could torture that guy, he was the first to rush in and see if she was ok. :happy:

I love how Michael can't, and never will be able, to kill Nikita. Percy's an IDIOT if he hasn't figured this out yet! I mean, Michael's equally as amazing as Nikita is, although Nikita has more of a survival instinct than he does. There's no way that Nikita shouldn't have been caught by now...except that Michael will never let it happen. Awwww. :)

Ha, I know! And the funny thing is, Percy doesn't see it with Nikita, but he can tell that Michael's emotionally involved on some level with Alex. :teehee:

Mmm, that is true. :) I think, though, I'd rather they became besties; there's a sneak peek on YouTube for 1.10 Dark Matter and oh my gosh, too funny and adorable.

ALSO. I think Amanda is awesome in a weird way; in the pilot, when she stepped through the door and it's revealed she's chief [s]torturer[/s] interrogator, I literally stopped breathing for a second. She's pretty scary.

Also, I wonder what the Cleaner Program is; (from 1.07 The Recruit.) I think it might have something to do with cancelling failed recruits; I guess Robbie will be the executioner? Poor guy. :confused:

Percy's not exactly the most observant man in the world. It's like, "Hello, dude! Michael has interest in Alex because she's like Nikita." Everything goes back to Nikita, and I have no idea why all of these Division peeps are so clueless. :lol:

Sneak peek? MUST SEE NOW. *runs off* I'm definitely getting some playful banter in that clip. They remind me of Michael/Nikita, except that he's not supposed to kill her. :-P

Amanda....I have no idea what I think about her. She's sorta scary but not really. She's intimidating in a gentle way. Basically, she's this huge contradiction. :) She can be gentle with Alex, but she's also like, "Ok, go send her on this 'mission' that's designed to test her and involves electrocution." She's heartless, but still womanly at the same time.

Yup, I agree. I've always gotten the impression that it's a program to get rid of agents and recruits who aren't doing their job well. Robbie...I have mixed feelings for him. He was kind of a creeper, but I LOVED how he just went crazy and pretty much destroyed everyone. I feel like he may become a problem later on, or that Nikita's going to have to rescue him.

I think I primarily go for Michael/Nikita because, as you said, where Michael's concerned, everything goes back to Nikita. She was the first. The first one to get past his guard after his wife's death. Also, I see Michael/Alex as mainly one-sided; I see Michael's side but don't see Alex reciprocating.

That's what I find so scary about Amanda; that she can come across as caring, and almost is, and then she watches Alex being tortured without batting an eyelash. She's practical and business-like and capable in a way that just freaks me out, considering what her business can entail. :hide:

Well, I think we have the same shippers mind, then! :lol: I'm just so confused about this whole triangle. It normally boils down to which characters I like best, and I adore Michael, and I think I like Nikita better than Alex. This is why it's so weird. I just love the side of Michael that comes out when he's around Alex and how worried he is about her, even though they don't have as much of a history as he and Nikita do. There's just something in his eyes that's so sexy when he looks at her. Of course, the same is true for him and Nikita. Arghhhhh. :-P

I think this fanfiction really converted me. I mean, I'll always still squee over Michael/Nikita, but I think that if Michael and Alex ever got together, I'd be thrilled. This is just so in character, and I can completely see this happening. http://m.fanfiction.net/s/6423267/1/

Amanda is truly freaky. Plus she looks very plastic-surgified, so that doesn't help, either. :-D

I just finished 1.11 All the Way. I am in utter shock. It was such a fantastic episode-the flashbacks were so poignant, the acting was so tight, everything was just played so perfectly.

And they killed Thom. I just can't believe it, I never ever saw it coming. Midway through the episode I was thinking "I'm totally jumping on the Alex/Thom ship. This is great!" And now he's gone, and Alex looked so broken.

Wow. Just...wow.

I loved the ending of this episode so much. The beginning was a bit lame script-wise, but there was nothing lame about the end!

As I ranted to you in my PM, Malex just...gahhhh. :swoon: I loved that so much, but I won't repeat it here again. Alex and Thom had such beautiful moments, too, and I was so shocked when Alex accidentally killed him! It was so sad when she kissed him for real right before he died and decided to stay with him instead of running. That was beautiful. I've never been a Thom fan, but I've always liked him and thought he was so sweet and caring. I have no idea why they killed him off. :(

And...now we have to wait A MONTH AND A HALF. I'm so freaking out about TVD, too. Tyler/Caroline are everything. Simply everything. I haven't felt like that in ages. :hug:

I just love Alex and Nikita working together, I really do. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. They act like family, which is wonderful, especially when you compare and contrast with Division claiming to be the family of it's recruits. :D I'm totally thrown by the almond milk thing, though. Is she underage or something? :)

Was that Oliver from Smallville playing Team Leader?

I loved the Aladdin reference! Best movie ever.

Yup, Alex is 19. I love that they didn't give her alcohol like most shows would have. :happy:

I'm not a huge Nikita fan anymore since I'm so in love with Malex, so I'm kind of watching the show to see Michael and Alex interact. :eyeroll: I know, I know, Shane basically yelled at all Malex fans to stop shipping them and to convert to Mikita, but I'm ignoring that completely. He's a man. What does he know about shipping? :-P

I don't know! I don't see Smallville, but I did notice how cute he was! heehee I...ummm....I haven't see Aladdin, so I don't know what reference you're talking about. Shameful, isn't it? :blush:

I'm not worried about what Michael will do to Alex. She's his girl, and he won't let anything happen to her. Truck stop promise, remember? <3 I had no idea I would ship them so much, but I am head over heels like all youtubers. There's a CRAZY amount of us over there! Malex vids are coming out by the hundreds. haha

Really? Where did he say that, in an interview? That's awesome. :innocent: Michael/Nikita really is the complete package to me: they have the chemistry, the history, and the heart-break, but they can also be totally adorable and fun.

Mmm, I haven't seen Smallville either, but I think he plays a guy named Oliver. Anyways, it's kinda funny how Michael said before the op that he was 'a good leader' or something, and then the guy just totally blew the mission. I hope Division wins sometimes, because lately they've been coming across as pretty shabby. It's hard to take them seriously when they seem so pitiful. :closedeyes:

Hmmm...well, I don't know how far he'll go, but if he does find out that Alex is with Nikita...I think he'd feel pretty betrayed. He's coming across as quite on edge right now.

Apparently the next episode has Ryan. Again. :wary:
