Rumple and Belle!!! First poor Rumple screwed up, which was frustrating. But then he gave Belle the library! That was cute! And he let her make her own decision on whether she wanted to continue seeing him or not, and was open with her, that was good. And it was amusing and cute when he asked Charming about him and Snow. And go Belle! Standing up for herself and what she wanted! And helloooooo Captain Hook!!!! I want to see more of him in the future!

Oh gosh, Hook....he's a lovely man. I'm excited to see how his story progresses with Cora.

this was such an interesting episode, I love how Belle is so hell bent on being the one that makes all decisions about her, her father is an idiot, and omg watching Rumple say all the truth to Belle was like watching an addict admit that he has a problem lol I loved that he told her EVERYTHING, and that he admitted he's a coward and that magic and power is his crutch. I loved knowing what happened to his wife, I get that she was embarrased of being the wife of the town's coward but walking out on your son? not cool, can't blame Rumple for ripping her heart. I loved the parallel...how he didn't really fight for his wife but he IS now fighting for Belle, major move from him, I thought it was SO sweet of him to give her the library. I love me some Rumbelle <3 Hook is awesome, very hot and very intersting character, I can't wait for him and Cora to get to Storybrooke and all hell breaks loose lol, I also loved the fact that Rumple was the one that chopped the Captain's hand off

Agree, I liked how he told Belle everything, and admitted why he needed the magic. And I wonder what sort of mess Cora and Hook would cause in Storybrooke. Although I do have a dilemma now! My favorite character and the one guy I find hot on the show dont like each other, and obviously would like to kill each other. So what side do I take in the Rumple/Hook battle? Darn it!!

Haha! See, Hook's not really my type, either (I will forever be a Jefferson girl. ), but, man, is he gorgeous. Also, I keep thinking he's Joseph Fiennes.

Maneth Eruvadhril wrote: what about August? he's fine as hell! and SO many dirty wood jokes come to mind it ain't even funny Oh my gosh, you just made me laugh so hard my sides hurt!!! yes, yes there are many jokes that can be made, all of them dirty. August is good looking, I'll give you that, he had the whole 'mysterious stranger' thing workin for him at first. But Hook's a pirate...and thats pretty hot. So if I had to rank the main men my list would go: Hook, August, Jefferson, and Charming. I admit I'm a little leery of having a guy on the show, since in the Entertainment Weekly article the creators hinted that not all of the show's characters will survive....

^ Settle down, you two! My list goes: 1. Jefferson 2. Jefferson (because you've got to account for both of them) 3. Hook 4. Graham 5. August 6. Charming (poor Charming. He's super sweet with Snow but not the sort I'm naturally drawn to, myself) 7. Jefferson (BECAUSE) Honorable mention for Daniel, who isn't a regular but who is still one of my favorites. I hear he's back next week!

ok, settled I thought of putting Graham on my list as well, but since he's no longer part of the show, except maybe in flashbacks, I didnt. But he would rank after Hook.

I still don't believe Graham might never come back. I remember there was some interview with the writers about "true love can overcome anything, what's harder to overcome than death?" so I still cling to a small thought that he could still make an appearance. Taurquende wrote: Also, I keep thinking he's Joseph Fiennes. Haha, me too! When I'm not paying a lot of attention and just see a glimpse of him, I always think for a moment that it's him. Spoilers ahoy, my boys, spoilers ahoy! I'm just a little bit disappointed in the fact that Whale was Frankenstein. I mean, he's not a fairytale character, nor is he a character from storylines with magic, the only other common denominator with non-fairytale (Jefferson, Midas, etc). He wants to return to "his land", but....his land is 19th century Switzerland? I liked the way it was done, I'm just not sure I liked it being done...They really would need to give us more backstory to make it acceptable to me. On the OTHER hand, Jefferson being a little wicked was niiiiiice... I'm happy he was in it so much. AND ARCHIE WAS IN IT DOING THINGS MY LOVE FOR ARCHIE HOPPER KNOWS NO BOUNDS.

Well the creators said they were goin to start branching out beyond the traditional fairytales, although I think the tales are goin to remain at the heart of the show. Like they're thinking of introducing the land of Oz, and thats not a fairytale. Technically it was a land the girl dreamed up. I agree though, I like the way Frankenstein was done, but it is still rather confusing just how it was done. And hmmm, I kinda like Jefferson when he's a little bad.....may have to reconfigure my list now...

OMIGOSH new favorite episode. (spoilers) I loved it. I really did. So appropriate for Halloween, it was worth waiting five weeks to find out who Dr. Whale was. And man, was he awesome. Such a great characterization of Dr. Frankenstein! And Regina and Daniel (who nearly made me cry), and Rumple, and JEEEFFFERSSON!!!! And we even got a understated "it's alive!" at the end. By the by, I totally bought the "Frankenstein's from another land" pitch, mostly because I, too, dream of going to land consisting entirely of 19th century gothic literature. That is where I live! And I think I'll take Jefferson along with me.

I was SO hoping he'd turn out to be Oz what with the "wizard" talk, the other land, his outfit which was so Ozian...I'm still holding out hope that he's both Frankenstein and Oz. Haha Taur, I guess if you look at it that way....
