Yes, I watched it a few years ago. Unfortunately for "The Pillars" it was broadcasted directly after "the Tudors", and "The Pillars" was very political and admittedly a bit dull compared to the flamboyant Tudors. So at first the story never really got to me, although I could definitely see the potential.
This changed when I read the book about a year later. The book was much more detailed, providing more background information (and therefore more charisma) to most of the characters. I've been wanting to watch the series again, just to see if my opinion has changed, but so far I haven't found the time to do it
