It was a very good movie, the only part I don't understand is that the guy was using a camcorder when the alien mech came out of the ground... I thought all the electrical equipment became out of use when the 'lightning' hit

Personally, i'd give war of the worlds an A-. The special effects were great! It really did play with my mind, though. The peoples faces twised in to screams as they were vaporized, hide and seek with that probe-thing, bodies floating in the river, the burning train. When leaving the theatre i kept my eyes off the stars, and slept with the lights on. Then there was the ending. It stank! Everyone nice and clean in their undamaged house. Plus Robbie survied. the end ruined the movie

I heard that this documentary called The March of the Penguins or something like that made more money per theatre than The War of the Worlds on opening weekend. I thought that was funny...I want to see it though. Even though Tom Cruise is insane.

Omg! I saw this movie yesterday, and it was incredible! :D Well, creepy and extremely tense, but I loved it. I think it's a very uncomfortable thought actually... Oh, and Dakota Fanning's performance really impressed me. *wants to see it again*

I just saw it with my mom. Not a big fan of Tom Cruise, don't know why. He's a good actor and everything. But I thought he turned out a good perfomance in this film. And Dakota Fanning, she's SO good! And what about the movie? I thought it was really good. I've always wondered why when something so dangerous is right next to you, why would you want to look at it? One of the many flaws of humans; we're too curious. And another thing - why do we think we're so powerful with all our destructive weapons when the Earth can take care of herself? Hmmm. Maybe we should take a closer look at this place we call home...

I saw it last week. I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise and the main reason I wanted to see it was coz Miranda was in it. I was a bit disappointed that her role was so small, but apart from that I enjoyed it. The acting was good, the effects were good, but the ending was a bit weak I thougt. And also something that seemed a bit odd to me was that why did the aliens plant the space ships under the ground a million years ago when there were no people around (as was said in the film) then wait until there were people around to invade? Wouldn't it have been alot easier to take over when no one was there to resist? Maybe it's just me...lol.

Btw, I went with my mum and nan and my nan fell asleep in the middle of it! lol afterwards she said it was a load of rubbish, but it's not her type of film I guess. Come to think of it, I don't know what her type of film it...

If I remember correctly, ^Lady Orohisiel^, the news lady that they ran into outside the house, she showed Tom Cruise that when the "lightning" struck, it was actually shooting down the alien tripod things. They thought they were buried there (that one guy - Tom/Tim Robbins?) a million years ago...but they just shot them down there. So...I'm pretty sure that's right. I could be wrong though, all in my head;)
