Meh. I don't like the whole thing. I mean, how many other child molestation trials are out there that don't have ANY coverage because the guy on trial isn't a celebrity? It doesn't deserve that much coverage.

However, I feel sorry for Jay Leno. He's been mining the trial for monologue material for months now and will be mighty sorry to have to come up with new stuff.

I haven't really been following that closely but I think it was mostly because he's a celebrity and because he's rich. My brother told me that his money's dwindling anyway, because no one really likes his work anymore, and he had to pay for his last album out of his own pocket. So add that to the fact that he'll have to pay his lawyers so he could very well be in debt soon if he's not making a profit off his CD's.

I woke up, turned on the radio "michael Jackson found not guilty" and turned on a CD instead, my faith in humanity shattered somewhat.

I think he did it, but I don't think he really got that it was wrong. I think he needs a psychiatrist (sp?) and soon, and i have done since all this fuss kicked up. But no, because hes MJ and special no one bothers to reccomend help...

What annoyed me was the fact it was described as of equal importance to the end of Communism in Europe and Nelson Mandela's release from prison. :annoyed: no way is it as important as that.

You mean it's finally over? It felt like it was going on for an eternity. I didn't follow what was going on at all and I found it really annoying that it was on tv every two seconds. Surprise surprise that he was found not guilty. He's rich and famous. The Good Charlotte song just popped into my head...

Lifestlyes of the rich and the famous
theyre always complainin
always complainin
if money is such a problem
well they got mansions
think we should rob them

I know he's seriously bankrupt now, mostly because of Neverland, but I think he only got off because of his money. I don't know whether he was guilty or not...

And I agree with Arwen - it isn't fair about that fact that other child molestion trials are not publisised so much just because they aren't celebs. I mean, think about it - if MJ wasn't famous, we wouldn't know antthing about this. Simple as.

[rant]First off, I agree that that trial should NOT have gotten so much attention...if any at all. What he does with his life is his own business...not the media's. Second, it really bugged me during the trial that everyone was going 'he's so guilty' and 'Michael Jackson is so going to jail' and stuff like that....what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Yarg. [/rant] :karate:

^I agree

To quote Good Charlotte's song Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous...
"Did you know when you were famous
You could kill your wife and there's no such thing as
25 to life as long as you've got the cash to pay for Cochran
And did you know if you were caught and you were smoking crack
McDonald's wouldn't even want to take you back
You could always just run for mayor of D.C."

I could really care less about about the whole case. I mean I do think he was guilty, but still, like I said before, I really dont care. The whole case has gotton way to much publicity. It wasnt that big of a deal anyway.
