I'm torn about Harry. I can't decide if I think she'll kill him or not. I guess I'll just have to wait and see but I am 100% convinced that Voldemort will die. There's simply no other way. I doubt that Ron and Hermione will die... I just can't see it happening.

I am hanging on [for dear life] to the hope that Harry will not die. I don't think that JKR would be cruel enough to kill him off. What would it do for the story plot?

Interesting, after reading that article it made me think for the first time that one of the two characters to be killed might be Ron or Hermione. That would be completely devestating but that's kind of what she makes it sound like.

For some reason I feel like Lupin might die in this book...Someone had a theory that he was going to be killed by Wormtail, but then the same site also said Sirius was going to get married in the next book too .

On the topic of killing off Ron or Hermione I have to say that to kill off one of them would do nothing to the story plot. I definitely think Ron got the reprieve from dying.

Dont worry guys the last line isnt "then harry woke up" because she said a few yaers ago the last word in the last chapter is "scar"

Well I didn't really see the point in killing Sirius either but it happened. I dunno really who's going to die or not I just hope it's not Ron, Hermione, the twins, or Hagrid. And I really don't want Lupin to die either but I have a feeling it might happen.

Banana_Republic: I too didn't see the point in Sirius' death, but I have a feeling that we will find out in Book 7. The thing is if Ron or Hermione died it would just make people angry [especially Harry], but it wouldn't do anything for the story plot.

That's all very true for this point in the book; I won't debate that.

However, we don't really know what will happen in book seven, and it's possible that JK has contrived something where Ron or Hermione's death has some point. I think that's what I'm most concerned about.

Why do you think that?
For me this would be the most tragic day in my life when Ron or Hermione die. I thought very long about who would die in HP 7, but I couldn't imagine them to die.

I think it entirely possible that Ron or Hermione die. Or Hagrid-that seems a good possibility too.
No, they don't advance the plot. But neither did Cedric, and he died. There was really no point to killing him, so I think JK could do anything.
