There I do agree with you, about maturity. I don't have much of an issue with the age difference, though, because I'm a huge Aragorn/Arwen fan and she was ages and ages older than him - so the age difference between Arya and Eragon doesn't seem like much compared to that, you know?
But I guess you never know what's going to happen!

I just finished Eldest. I was about half way through, and a yesterday mom said that it has to go back to the library (and the month long waiting list) and it was already over due. So last night and today I tore through it.... Poor Murtagh... *sniff* And besides the few occasions I wish I could slap Eragon in the face, I loved it! And the whole Arya/Eragon has been growing on me... Sense Arya is no longer miss little show-no-emotion-whatsoever, its much better. But Eragon still acts like a love-struck teen sometimes...
And just a note, Amoniel: Your Eragon banner... Its 'Brisingr' not 'Brisinger'... No offense or anything... I'm just a reeeaaal perfectionist with these things... Fandom spelling and all
And why can't you see/read it, TN?

WARNING TO EVERYBODY:
IF YOU LOVE ERAGON AND ELDEST, DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE!
It barely follows the book, which I love, and though the graphics are insanely cool, IT MESSES UP ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE!
I mean, in the book, Eragon has brown eyes and brown hair, Arya has green eyes, long black hair, and pointed ears, Angela isn't blind, Solembum exists, Hrothgar exists, the Twins exist, Brom looks a bit like Gandalf, the urgals and Galbatorix are actually frightening...
You get the picture.
In the movie, Arya has red hair, rounded ears (is she a human or something?), Eragon has blond hair and blue eyes (While Murtagh has the correct brown hair and brown eyes, and for those of you who have finished Eldest, you know this can't be right), Solembum is never mentioned, the Twins are never mentioned, Angela shows up only once at Daret, which is where they try to combine the events of Yazuac and Teirm, and she's this weird blind lady, the urgals are like big fat men with no horns, and Galbatorix is not the least bit scary.
The only good thing they did was make Durza cool, and they even got him wrong: they gave him blue eyes instead of maroon.
Oh, well, sorry for ranting, but whenever I think about how they ruined the books like that I just explode.

I've read both. But I read Eragon a really long time ago...that made reading Eldest a bit difficult.

O.K, I'll discuss Eldest with you then. What did you think of Eragon's avoiding being controlled by the Varden by pledging fealty to Nasuada?

I thought Eldest was a little boring too. I like Eragon way better. But, I eventually took an interest in Eldest after a bit. I think the ending is the best!

What really, really bugged me in Eldest was how Eragon was acting about Arya. I mean...can he not tell that she wants nothing to do with him? *bangs head on desk* And, of course, since he is a Marty-Sam, and the main character whose destiny is controlled by a teenage boy, he will most likely end up with her in the end. Argggg.
It isn't so much their maturity differences, it's just the fact that she doesn't want his attention and he goes after her anyway. I mean, come on. Does he have a right to everything or something? If Arya really loved him then fine, great. But she is obviously going through way more than he knows right now so just LEAVE HER ALONE!!
Whew. [/rant]

well someone should slap him .
he does act a bit annoying following her around and practically drooling over her when she obviously doesnt feel the same about him.
