So true Meldawen! I read that part of the book over about 10 times to see that I wasn't crazy... I almost had a heart attack. I CANNOT downright CAN-NOT picture our beloved Terence with a beard... Its just impossible.
Anywho... onto a different subject... Did any of y'all figure out (Long before they told you) that (I don't know how to spell his name) in the Dung Cart Knight was acctually Sir Lancelot?

Hmmm...hard to remember. I remember having a shrewd suspicion, but I don't know if I actually thought he was Lancelot. I never liked Lancelot anyway, Gawain is SO much better.

I figured it was Lancelot because he leaves some signficant clues, especially if you've read Savage Damsel.
Sometimes authors describe their characters wrong. There's no other way to say it. For instance, C.S. Lewis says Lucy has golden hair but everyone I know pictures her with dark.
Maybe Terence and Gawain don't age because of their connection with the other world?

Hmm... Very good theory, Firiel, I like it. I always ignored the mention of beards amoung Terence and his father, as I picture fearies as elves.
Well, how many...
The Squire's Tale
The Squire, his Knight, And his Lady
The Savage Damsel and the Dwarf
The Ballad of Sir Dinadan
Parcifal's Page
The Princess, the Crone, and the Dung-Cart Knight
The Lioness and her Knight
*NEW!* The Quest of the Fair Unknown
OI! I want the new one so badly! I want it for Christmas...

Ganscotter I can picture with a beard, but Terence - NO. I'm rereading The Lioness and Her Knight and I noticed that it says "Terence had been Gawain's squire for almost twenty years" which would make him about THIRTY-FOUR! but then I remembered they were in the faery world for seven years, which would make him more like twenty-seven or twenty-eight, which I guess isn't as bad...but still!
Firiel wrote: I figured it was Lancelot because he leaves some signficant clues, especially if you've read Savage Damsel. Yes, he does indeed. It gets pretty obvious. Quote: Sometimes authors describe their characters wrong. There's no other way to say it. For instance, C.S. Lewis says Lucy has golden hair but everyone I know pictures her with dark. *Raises hand* Not me! I always pictured Lucy with golden hair in two braids, like the illustrations in the books. That's not to say I don't like little dark-haired Lucy, but when I was little she always had golden hair in two braids inside my head. Quote: Maybe Terence and Gawain don't age because of their connection with the other world?
*Likes that idea* But still, Terence with a beard? WRONG!

Oh yes. Terence with a beard is just.... WRONG! I hate to use the exact words Meldawen used, but its just so true! I hope that Terence and Gawain make more appearences in further books. I have to say that I enjoy the Terence/Eleen romance above all of them, simple, yet sweet. Oi, I think I spelled Eleen wrong... I havn't read that one in a while...

Eileen I dunno, I liked the Gawain/Lorie romance and ESPECIALLY the Rhience/Luneta romance. That's probably my favorite of all of them. My least favorite would have to be Gareth/Lyonesse or Tristram/Iseult. Terence/Eileen always seemed slightly odd to me.

Hey, are all these books separate stories (like the narnia books) or a continuous journey like lotr and eragon?

They're all connected. I guess more Narnia than LotR.

They're all connected, to quote Firiel (FYI, I quote posts above me ALOT) but they are about different people. But 99.9% of the time, Gawain, Terence, or some distant relative of theirs shows up also, so (in my opinion) it makes the new characters easier to relate to. And yes, they are alot like narnia..... Ok. I'll shut up now...
