I'm not much of a Bella fan, but I don't like Jacob much either. Bella frustrates me because she doesn't realize how Jacob feels about her or simply ingores it because she wants to be happy friends.
:disgust:
Like when she sees the poster and suddenly feels guilty...does she not GET IT?! He's sad because he loves her. The more friendly you act toward him, the more hope he has, and the sadder he is because you are with Edward. So either dump Edward or stop being friendly!

[/rant]

Sorry. She just...frustrates me. She wants to make everyone happy, but...in love triangles, someone always loses.

:confuzzled:

So I just recently read Twlight and NEw Moon... so I prolly shouldn't be in this thread till I read Eclipse... but shoot. I'm not going to listen to my inner self that says I shall stumble across some shocking spoiler and be ruined.

I agree with you RA, Bella frustrates me. She just seems so self-centered most of the time.

Edward though, Edward is utter love. He's amazing... I mean, Bella's love for Edward is NOTHING compared to how much he loves her. And that frustrates me. Because she doesn't deserve him.

And Jacob is so sweet... I'm going to die if he gets hurt more in the third book...

personally, i'm trying to think about jacob vs. edward (if in some alternate universe i got to choose between the 2 of them), and i can't really make a decision. i need to make a venn diagram...

jacob: down to earth, keeps you warm ;) , much less danger of killing you in a passionate moment, will age eventually, do not have to be a werewolf to fully "enjoy" him, can go out in full sunlight...however he does become a freakishly large wolf on occasion.

both: have a loving family/clan that will support you. is a certain level of danger to being with one or the other. have amazing bods.

edward: romance from a different era, is willing to put himself through pain to be with you, has difficulty going in the sunlight, left for months but did come back...

there's more that i'm sure i'm not including.... :bounce:

Okay, so I just finished Twilight. I basically read it because I wanted to know what everyone else was talking about, actually. I'm afraid I won't be joining you all in your Edward-melting, because while he's okay when he's romantic, I actually like him better when he's angsty. Bella was my favorite, and I wish there had been a bit more Alice and Jasper.

What did make me 'huh?' a bit was all the stuff about being in love forever and the most important thing in life to Bella being Edward and vice versa. I mean, I know Edward's immortal and all, but Bella's seventeen. Is it really possible to be that in love when you're seventeen? And what was with her apparently smelling nice? Why? That part confused me. Also, how did Edward instantly know that she was the one he'd been waiting for?

Anyway, it did keep me turning pages, I'll give it that much. I'll probably read the others, if only to know what people are talking about, like I said. I think the writing could have been a bit more interesting overall, but Meyer did a nice job of keeping me interested nonetheless.

Alice and Jasper is great. It would be even better with no Alice, especially if we replaced her with a girl named Alejandrah...

I think its possible to feel that level of love at any age. Love is limitless and age has nothing to do with it.

Bella smells nice to Edward because he wants to drink her, basically. Obviously, he works hard not to. New Moon explains it much better than Twilight does, though, so I suggest you keep up the read.

It kept me turning pages, too. It was easy to read, which was good because the majority of my reading was in the wee hours of the morning lol.

well, like alejandrah said, love is confusing. now, a lot of people confuse love with infatuation, but yes it is possible :) at least i think so

as far as the smell thing goes... pheromones perhaps? that's what i thought of anyway... : D

and on a side note: this is one of my friends from college:

i've been glomped? that's a good thing, right? haha.... :bounce:

bad thing was, i fell asleep last night for a few hours (from 7-9:30 pm, i think) so when i was twilight obsessing i suddenly looked at the clock and it was 3:30 AM...i wasn't tired at all, and didn't get in bed until 4:15 am. but twilight is seriously worth it. that, and, well, it is summer. =D
