I made a post at the very bottom, my rant but slightly revised.
I love it when people -try- to defend Eragon.

^They have really nothing to defend... their so-called "defensivenesses" all sound really silly. It is so easy to argue back

It is so easy to argue back I could not agree more....I thought the Eragon books were wonderful...(even id the movie wasnt as good) but movies rarely are as good as the books....I mean I thought it was a very good piece of literature...not the best writing i've ever read but i've certainly read much worse....I rather enjoyed myself while reading them and I think that is the most important thing about any book...
Oh speaking of Eragon and the series as a whole does anyone have any information on the 3rd book??

Nope, none at all...
I just realized something: The Inheritance Trilogy is based very much on ancient Norse mythology. I could speculate, but it's pretty obvious to even those who don't know much about Norse mythology. It makes the books more interesting, I guess...
I'd say these books are still better than Harry Potter. Ftw. Maybe I'm just biased, because I prefer historical-fantasy books, but I really do think that they are better.

Hm... once my school morning news thing was doing a 'talk about upcoming movies' one day. Here are exact words that they said:
"The author of the book had actually intended for it to become a movie, but he didn't have the money, and so made it into a book. And with the money he got from the book, they turned it into a movie."
I'm like that's just wrong! The book has almost nothing in common with the movie except basic plot and names... that's it! Man, everything else is all wrong... (like how they killed Brom, that was the one thing I was most upset about, and how they portrayed Murtagh. Murtagh was my fav character in the book...)
But I can't say if the book is better than HP 'cause I've never read any of the HP books, and it might be awhile before I get the chance...

Yea I was def. angry about how bad they twisted things...I also don't like how they made sapphira go up so quick because her growing up is like the most important point in the book....I just didnt understand why they condensed the book soooo much

I don't even know how they're going to make eldest, as well as the third.
(oh yeah, I've heard that the third is going to be bigger than Eldest, and it might be called Empire(Eragon= E----- Eldest= E----- Empire= E----- all start with E and have 6 letters))

I think that I read somewhere that he actually finished it awhile ago but the reason it wasn't being released was for like press reason's or something like that...I mean it makes sense with HP coming out and everyhting they probably don't want to release it til all the HP hype dies down a bit...

Sorry. But no matter how hard he tries, it's never going to be as popular as HP.
Maybe if he could write... or *wait for it* make his OWN plot up...

Wow, I never liked Eragon either. I don't feel alone in that anymore!
^ Now wouldn't that be a surprise, Shadowcat.
