Wow.. you people actually took the time to writ all the titles down.. most impressive... I'm not sure I would have the patience, although I have less books than many of you all! But it's interesting to see what kinds of books people read... might get inspired!! :P

Lol, Ea. Yeah, I didn't have anything better to do, so I wrote all the titles down. As you can see, my literature world revolves almost exclusively around Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Historical Fiction/documentary-type books. I think I've got like, one Biography. Ooh! I forgot to put it up there! It's a biography of C.S. Lewis, by I-forget-who, and it is I-forget-where. :P

Wow--it looks like the books you own are a lot more practical for everyday life than mine. :D The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is an exception, though.

Sure, I use my experience from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland almost every day... lol. ;-)

No really, I realised the books on my bookshelf give a very bad overall picture of the books I actually read. I've read tons of books from the library and borrowed from friends, so the ones I have bought myself are books I needed for school or books I have a strong intention of reading in the near future!! Like Moby Dick and The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy!!!

What do you mean by... 'practical'?

i would say the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy was extremely practical. thanks to that book i now know that the trick of flying is falling and missing the ground, you should never go hitchhiking through space without a towel, and pan galactic gargle blasters should be avoided unless you like the feeling of being hit round th head by a gold bar wrapped in a lemon. essential everyday knowldge, don't you think? :P

Maybe practical is the wrong term to use. Um....I can't think of the right word to use, though, so just ignore what I said.

Lol, eowyn--of course The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is practical! :D Having read it, I know how useful it is. It is very essential for everyday survival.

^Well, I made the mistake of watching the movie, which was a turn off, so I haven't read the book yet.. sadly enough it seems I might be badly equipped for space traveling... :P

Oh dear. This could take awhile.

- All of the Lord of the Rings books :duh:
- The Hobbit
- The Silmarillion
- Unfinished Tales
- Something called "the Tolkien Reader"
- The entire History of Middle Earth set
- Some other book about the languages of Tolkien that was written by someone who was not him
- All 7 Chronicles of Narnia
- All of the HP books
- Eragon
- Eldest
- Pride and Prejudice
- Jane Eyre
-Wuthering Heights
- Sense and Sensibility
- Emma
- The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe. (Poe = love.)
- Grimm's Original Fairy Tales (They really are rather grim. Cinderella's stepsisters cutting of parts of thier feet... it's bizarre. But I love the orginal ones.)
- Great Expectations <3
- The BFG by Roald Dahl. A must read.
- Falling Up (Shel Silverstein is cool.)
- The Book of 1,000 Poems
- The Secret Life of Bees.
- All of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books, except the fourth one because it just came out and I haven't had the chance to get it yet.
- Inkheart, which I haven't read yet
- King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table <3
- Alice In Wonderland, including Through the Looking Glass (Lewis Carroll + opium = awesomeness.)
- Babbitt, which I had to read for school
- Angela's Ashes, which I also haven't read yet
- Wicked
- A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- A Separate Peace
- The Screwtape Letters
- a bunch of other ones from forever ago that I don't feel like listing.

Yeah. My bookshelf is slightly overflowing. I like my books.
