i love drawing maps, i can see where things are that way, and if the maps are very detailed, i find them useful as a reader, the thing with drawing maps is scale, and making sure that if you charrie(s) are going from one place to another, it doesn't take them a month to get there when in reality, if they walked normally it would take them less than a week... o_o

Really?
I'll work on a simple map in a few days, just a basic layout, and then PM it to you.

^Never think that your work is awful! Just put it away for another time and if you have ideas come back later! I find that it's easier when your writing with someone else.

I'm working on a sci-fi/fantasy story right now, but I actually got the plot from my friend (who's also a writer and offered to pass on some of her ideas that she said she'd never use). I think I'm taking it in different directions then she would've though.

Sci-Fi rocks! I'm no good at writing sci-fi, though, because other than the computer and cameras, I don't know how to work many technological things.
My friend is writing an incredible sci-fi, story, though.

Sci-Fi isn't all electronics... it's science fiction... on the Sci-Fi t.v. chanel there's lots of fantasy movies... Once they played all the LotR movies in a marathon!
Oh, and Nightengale! I'm almost done with your map!

They played all the LotR movies? Where was I?
My book, as are all my stories, is fantasy. I don't now why, but I'm drawn to fanasy. Its easy to write and I like how there's not much technology. Everything is simpler.
Here's the prologue to my book.

^ I know what you mean... I love fantasy, too. Though the main problem with fantasy, is that often the characters tend to be 'super characters' and not very realistic. That's something I strive for in my book - realistic characters.

^I think I know what you mean - super characters as in like good at everything, but not necessarily Mary-Sue... get it? Like for example, Joe can sword fight, be an archer, learn a new language within 3 days, never get hurt or die, etc.
