pfft, why not? I mean, it's a TOLKIEN book! How could you not be excited about reading that? Insanity, I say! Kudos to you for rereading it anyway.

Haha for the billionth time. No, it's that the people in my grade aren't into that sort of stuff. And then they'd complain about it and we wouldn't get anywhere. I totally agree with you though. Who wouldn't want to read such a classic?

^ I know what you mean. We read The Hobbit this past year in class and most people were bored out of their minds or just didn't get it. I think that's crazy, it was almost fun to be tested over such an awesome book I had read so many times. You just can't go wrong with Tolkien.

We're reading The Pigman and I can't even remember the author. Has ANYONE else read the thing?

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Somehow I managed to write 'Oliver' instead of 'Huck' on a worksheet. I don't even have an explanation. I finished reading Oliver Twist months ago, it's not like it's on my mind or anything.

Reading Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott... it's turning out to be nothing like I expected... and it's actually ok.

Homer's Iliad. It's actually easy to read and very interesting! Those gods are amusing.

^I LOVE that story!! My English class had to act it out in groups, and my group used The Kraken (PotC) music because of the beating heart in the background. Nobody could hear it, but it was the thought that counted.

We're doing Greek and Roman myths...supposedly to prepare us for reading things like the Iliad and the Odyssey and other things in high school. The thing is, my 6th grade teacher taught us mythology very thoroughly. I think I'm going to be bored.
P.S. I think this is my 100th post! *Dances in joy* Or if not it's something I said today. I'm not sure if this section counts for posts. It might be something else. But either way I earned my second star!
