Otay, so I bought this one on sale from Walden Books a couple of days ago, and I'm somewhere around chapter thirty-two, and Kunta's just been captured. I must say I'm VERY impressed with Haley's writing style; very impressed indeed. He gets you firmly attached to the characters within two or three pages... It's amazing. Not to mention the story is amazing. I can't hardly put it down! It's just so compelling to me... Anyway, just wondering if there was anyone else who's reading Roots or has read it, because I really, really love it. Tootles! |
