Oh, wow. That is such a shame. And especially for all the fans of his books, as wasn't the 12th one to be the last? So sad that he never got to finish it himself and hear what fans thought of it.

I really hope someone can finish them as well, it would be awful if the end was never resolved.

I'm in shock.

It's never going to be done? It's never going to finish? After writing all those books...I can't believe it. The twelfth one was going to be the last, and now there won't be a last? It's just not going to be the same, written by someone else!

Just...I can't believe it.

Dying in the middle of a novel? Wow. I would hate to die like that. I've not read any of the Wheel of Time books, but I have a friend who adores them and will get very angry.

The Wheel of Time is my favorite series, and A Memory of Light was going to be the last one. It seems rather callous of me, but even while I'm rather shocked, stunned, and numb at RJ's dreaded-yet-still-unexpected death, I can't help but wonder how the 12th one will be. It won't have his touch.

I have no idea what to say, really. RJ was an incredible writer, and I know that he is mourned around the world. His death was so....unanticipated. He'd held out for so long, I was actually thinking that he was going to make it, to finish WoT. I don't normally count my chickens before they hatch, but I certainly did this time, which leaves me all the more numbed by his death.

Wow... I'm completely stunned, I knew he was older, but wow. Having only read the first book, and being excited for the next ones... wow. Completely stunned.

*head shake*

....wow.

When I saw the name Robert Jordan... I knew it looked familiar, so I went to look at my dad's book shelves to find that he owns 10 of the WoT series, and is reading the 9th one... wow... how will my dad take this? He's a big fan of RJ! I think he even met him once...

I am also very impressed and shocked. He was a excellent writer, and died while working the LAST Novel, that's terrible.

RIP Robert Jordan,I hope you're having a better life now.

(P.S.:It already has happened before,an author dying while working on
his book,but it's terrible).

I told my dad about RJ, and he was shocked... and I found out I was wrong, he's actually on the 10th book and owns all 11 that are out... My dad was upset that the last book doesn't really look like it's going to get done anytime soon.

And, FET, what you said in the PS... it makes me wonder, how did J.R.R. Tolkien died... but that's for another topic!
